Mike, There is a great deal of difference between scale and competition style thermal models. If you study the 2 types you will soon see that there is a big difference in proportions. Where the spans are similar you will notice that the aspect ratio is almost double on the scale ship. With the

Hey Guys, Just wanted to give you a heads-up on a new toy that Tom Copp has in his inventory at F3X.com. I just took delivery on a Pike Plus Lite. I was a little surprised when Tom told me the Samba company was building me a Pike Plus lite, and if I didn't want it , I didn't have to buy it. OK.

Randy, I agree that there were some questionable conditions concerning Sam Girardi's lost "HERA". The bottom line is that it is a great smooth flying airplane. No matter how well you build a tool it will have it's limitations. I don't think the demise of Sam's Hera requires any further investig

Sam, That is a sad story, F3B can be tough on equipment especially with howling wind and Hi-test line. In all fairness to the Hera it is a great airplane but is designed for F3J, that is why it weighs 10 ounces less than an F3B Cobra. That weight has to come out from somewhere. By the way, You
