On the subject of Soup
I love these plugins as well and also for them hard to install. My shelf
never worked as well.
If any one out there has any idea's that would be great.

Anybody remember an addon/plugin/script for splitting one still frame into
multiple renders of different portions of it?
If I'm not mistaken it's as simple as carefully planning the Pass Crop
Window parameters in the Pass Options ppg, but before I script it, has
someone publicly done
If you're using mental ray, you can specify the window coordinates on the
command line. Haven't looked inside Softimage for the same parameter(s).
