Just tried to reinstall the LMS 8.0.0 and it seemed like it was working
until I rebooted the NAS. So I uninstalled LMS 7.7, installed 8.0.0 and
successfully connected to LMS web interface but all the images were
broken.
Ok, here's what I've found. The change which I could imagine could

Hi All!
I've seen a few variations on this issue, but haven't seen this
iteration. I'm running LMS 8.0.0 - 1603391272 on Windows Server 2016.
In my setup, I have my music folder on it's local address P:\Server
Folders\Music. LMS finds all the files, and the world is good. I've

Did a bit more digging, and I found that there is a more recent version

support for opus on squeezelite should remove the need for transcoding

Hello
I have started to work with Mycroft.ai and I would like to make it to
project to build an LMS skill. Currently Max2Play is running on one RPI3
and Picroft is running on another. Even though Picroft is python
oriented, I would definitely prefer to use the API supported in the main
distro.

No I see them now.

Popped into my head again today ... and I did a bit more research and
stumbled upon "emscripten" which can port from C (and others) to

I wonder if a reduced functionality version of Squeezelite (eg always
requiring LMS to transcode to something easyish to handle in JavaScript)

Also note that others have recently reported playback issues with the
YouTube plugin - so do make sure that what you are playing really is the
same on different devices (working v not working)
eg does YouTube offer different encoding for same material and
plugin/LMS picks a different one based

Copy ALL entries from server.log from just before you presses play to

Hi Michael.
Thanks for your reply.
I see your point. But tbh I don't really understand why should I change
the hardware (ie Netgear NAS) that is fully working and fits all my
needs pretty well.
It does look like consumerism. ) If there's no way to upgrade to 7.9 or
higher that's ok for me.

I did try upgrading LMS server from 7.6.3 to 7.9.3 on my prehistoric
Netgear ReadyNas Ultra 2 and it didn't work. LMS didn't start. 7.9.4
beta and 8.0.0 didn't start after the installation either.
I rolled back to 7.7 and it worked fine for me. Any thoughts? Is the
older Netgear stuff no longer

Have a look in the LMS logs - it may well show some conversion failures.

Hey all,
I've been reading posts on this forum for some time since I started
using LMS, and I'm impressed by all the help & knowledge provided on
this forum!
Unfortunately, I have a need for a help thread myself since yesterday.
I've installed the latest LMS 8.0 build on my Synology DS212+,

That's it, a few albums slipped through with their own artwork - I
usually strip that out and add my own.
Thanks for confirming, I now know that I can remove these rogue covers

I just bought a Synology on Prime Day. (The original shipment was lost,
so I had to get a replacement and only started setting it up this
weekend.)
I started using the apnar LMS container, and it was ok; it popped up a

Is this typical?
No. Please give some more information about the plugins you're using.
Would you see the same after a service restart?

In the web GUI, under Extras, there's a menu item to display album
artwork below 300 pixels.
That's a feature of the Music & Artist Info plugin.
They are located at :

That's not their "location", but the URL given by LMS. LMS then would
read that
