Can confirm that wipePlaylist:1 is correct (and case sensitive!) and
works with the playlist preview. I'm using the following for a JSON
request to retrieve and resume the playlist created with the preview
request.

Strange... description: playlist in this answer always means the clientplaylist_xyz.m3u in the prefs folder. what i did : - synced two players - made sure no clientplaylist is there by deleting the files - add a track to the "master" - they will play and shown in the webgui - but clientplaylist are not made - unsynced them -> now both players have a playlist in the prefs folder and there is no difference between them. That should say "playlists are updated when syncing is changed" -another test - synced players (both m3u are equal) - playing (that purges the old playlist) a track on the master player - The playlists (m3u) are different - but in the webgui everything looks the same. Only the m3u on the choosen player has the new track - no matter if its the master or the slave. There is no difference in the webgui between the tracks from the players or what theyplay. By unsycning the players -> both playlists are equal. Only when there is no compilation for files under Artists // Various Artists // grouping of all the rest of these files into one single compilation takes place. It is not necessarily singles. I have a lot of files which I just happen to have like that, I don't know where from etc. and these are not singles, presumably they're taken from an album but I don't know which. The problem might be with the fact that not all these files have Album Artist but I am used to programmes that just use Artist in this case. I guess the simple way of describing things is, I expect, when player A is synced to player B, regardless of the state of Player B (on/off), that play back on player A should follow the synced clients playlist, not it's own. I have confirmed this as well in the web UI. If I go in and make sure my Boom is displayed, I add a bunch of songs, the playlist is correctly updated (I have a putty session open on the /prefs folder to make sure of timestamps). Then I choose the Radio from the player control drop-down. I add another album, only the radios playlist is updated, not the synced one (which is what I would expect when it's in synced mode). Or have I misunderstood the syncing philosophy? BTW, not running any sync plugins that I know of, just the built in stuff in SBS. Just make sure the old and the new server are running at the same time. Or shut down one of them, edit its server.prefs file to remove the server_uuid value, restart.
