Found the server in an odd state today - players couldn't connect and
the UI said it was still scanning after many hours. The server (windows)
had crashed although not at a library rescan time.
The server log has many of these:
[19-03-29 20:00:24.7020] Slim::Schema::Storage::throw_exception
Thanks, that seems to have done the trick. Shame it couldn't detect a
corrupted db and delete it itself! ;-)

Ah OK, I've just realised that I've got a whole bunch of DAOs still
present so it'll take a while to split them out.
I'm still puzzled why it interprets them as playlists though.
Guess I'll just have to go through all occurrences and delete the
superfluous .cue files.
After a bit more digging I found that this line is in the log for every
.cue file!
Scanner::Local::new (891) Handling new playlist
file:///[path]artist-album-blah.cue
All scanner logs are set to Error, so given there are *lots* of these
entries, surely this event should only be logged at the
Wow I never knew of that option - or indeed the other stuff!
I guess the ideal would be an option for the scanner to ignore missing
errors, but I guess I need to do some housekeeping.
File under "Things I wish I'd known when I started ripping". At least I
ripped to flac in the first place ...
I've not used this method for ages but wanted a quick method of using my
android phone as a player.
In a browser or Foobar it connects and I can select it as a player in
LMS (Mozilla from [ip address]) but it only plays for a few seconds,
then stops.
If I try from a PC it says connection reset.
Tx - guess that explains why it seemed very laggy!
I'd not bought the native SB player since it would be streaming from my
FLAC library and my requirements are for something more lightweight.
For the background, see my other post
Yes of course I don't want dups, but that's rather a side issue. I'm
very gradually working my way through the DAO rips to convert them to
track rips. But I still want them in the library meanwhile, hence I
don't wish to exclude .cue files!
The issue is the log filling up with superfluous info
Sorry I wasn't clear - "(891) Handling new playlist" seems to be logged
for *every* .cue file i.e. even if there are no referenced files
missing.
If there are, then the other log line "Parse (473) Error" is present,
which is fine.
Sure but as noted earlier that disables all .cue processing.
I'd still like to know if it's possible to suppress the "Handling new
playlist file" event in the error log file as it fills the log file up
rather, and makes it much harder to find the real scanning errors!
Sorry I've no idea on the LMS error but have you checked if the network
is OK otherwise between your server and any other machines during
playback issues?
Any errors in the Event Log? netstat -s?
You could try the iperf utility beween server and client machines to

I've just noticed in the PCP LMS web ui that the network mount point is
no longer ticked under Enabled.
If I try to Set Mount it says:

visible.
Hmm, Ok off I go to the PCP thread! ;-)
Hi
I use the Rescan Music Libray plugin to rescan nightly and pick up the
previous day's changes.
But next day I sometimes see the dreaded "Empty" on browsing My Music

server share not being available at that rescan time. :-(
Hi
I was experimenting with the Material skin for server settings and it
seems that the URLs vary by interface.
So http://lms:9000/settings/index.html works with Default but not
Classic or Material (blank page). With Classic the link is tied to a
player for some reason
Tx, but the issue is the other way round i.e. I don't want a
skin-specific link, but a *universal* link to Server Settings
*irrespective* of which skin is used.
And Material is apparently based on Classic.
mr-b's Profile:
I don't know how I can explain this any more. :-(
I click on PCP's Configure LMS button, if any skin other then Default is
used I get a blank page.
I have a LMS Server Settings bookmark - if any skin other than Default
is used I get a blank page.
Why can't there be a single URL for Server
I had an issue with LMS 8.0 not being able to play any tracks (the
progress indicator remained stuck at 00:00) so then I tried updating LMS
