The screen shot of the SonicNAS page looks like a modified version of VortexBox software running on that NAS. You should be able to map the music storage folder as a network drive in Windows, where you can manage the music files like any other file/folder. I gather you've tried this? What happens when you search for the drive when trying to map it? Another option might be to use a free program like WinSCP to log in to your NAS and navigate to the music folder. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] "Play Other Songs In Album" function not working
I have -Play Other Songs In Album or Directory-enabled for my players, which include both Touch and piCoreplayers. After a single track is selected and played, it should continue to play the remaining tracks, but the tracks stop. If I enable -Don't Stop the Music-, then random tracks will load and play as expected, but not the remaining tracks in the selected album. LMS is 8.1.0 - 1608700893 @ Wed Dec 23 on a piCoreplayer server and also on a Vortexbox, both showing the same behavior. I can't recall if this was happening on my previous 7.9 version. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] My Apps missing in LMS web browser
I'm running LMS 7.9.1 - 1513951369 Dec 22, on a VB and accessing LMS on a network Windows machine. I'm not sure when this started since I only use the browser occasionally, but the Apps including Spotty, usually listed under My Apps have disappeared. Only the Apps Gallery icon appears. They all appear as usual on my Touch and on iPeng. I have restarted, rebooted, etc but they are still missing. I have done many clean installs on my VB, using the VB version, Community Squeeze, and the Nightlies. However I also implemented a backup/restore of my pref's on my VB several years ago, so it's possible I deleted these some time in the past. My issue is that I don't see any default patterns and want to know if this is normal in 7.9. Since some of you are giving me default settings I assume they should be therethanks. I have never used this feature but have been helping someone who has tag issues. I looked at this in Advanced>Formatting to refresh myself on the function but there are no options or enable/disable box? It just shows a blank box. I do recall that in the past it showed pattern options. It won't explain the cause , but it might be interesting to re-rip one of the CD's to confirm the error is specific to those rips. It's strange that the older version reads the problem files. Do you know if they are always the same files that exhibit this? It's been years since I used version 7.7 so I can't be much help with the changes that have been made. Did you look at the server log before downgrading to 7.72 for clues? It will no doubt end up being a simple answer, but those can also be hard to diagnose. You could also try loading the Squeeze Community version of 7.9 or the latest nightly to see if it's similar to the version Andrew includes with VB. You could use the Edit-ID tag function in Windows Explorer to add the Album name. Just bring up the tracks in the right pane, select them all and right click to open the edit menu. Select the Album field and add the name. If you select a single track it will show the specifcc track info. If you select all tracks the fields will show . In LMS, Music Folder, open a problem album, click on a track and then click on the View Tags menu. This will show you the tags that are added to that track , which should be indicative of the whole CD. You should see the usual, Artist, Album, Track, Genre etc. 2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to your music library, open an album, and display the tracks in the right pane. Hover over a trak and dB Power amp should show you a pop up with the all the tag info for the track. If you right click on the track, you will see an option to Edit ID-Tag, which will allow you to change/edit the tags. This also a dB Poweramp function.
