I have tried this several times but the zip file downloads every time in the "DownloadedPlugins" folder, but after restarting disappears and agains asks for update. Check server.log. Hi, I tried installing Chromecast bridge plugin in LMS 7.9 on a qnap server but it is not working. I added the repo, then checked enable on the plugin, waited for the zip file t download completely and the restarted the server. After restarting, the plugin is unchecked in the section "Updated plugins available". I have tried this several times but the zip file downloads every time in the "DownloadedPlugins" folder, but after restarting disappears and agains asks for update. Did you wait after you had asked LMS to install the plugin ? Workaround was to make a little version of the plugin to download from plugin manager, then start the 'real' complete download by inside the installed plugin. There is a small chance that what I was doing, as well as the OP owner, lead to the problem: this is a big download (8.5MB) and when you ask for installation, LMS asks you to restart. Then, after clicking ok, I was immediately going to another cmd line window where I was restarting the LMS service and ended every time (10 times) with a partial download. Yes, that's exactly the kind of problem I was referring to. I don't know why this only has come up recently, or how I missed it for years, as eg. Triode's Spotify plugin suffers from the same "issue". The prompt to restart LMS would be shown immediately. LMS doesn't wait for the plugin to be downloaded. This is using the same repository xml file, but when using the built-in 3rd party repository, it seems that the download stops in the middle and then the problem above happens (I've experienced it on a fresh install as well). When adding another repository, all is fine Could you enable debug logging for server.plugins and let me see what happens when the download stops? Does this happen spontanously, or because the server is restarted to enable the plugins? Server Settings>Plugins - found Chromecast Bridge in available plugins and ticked it. Clicked "apply", ticked prompt for "restart now" for application restart. After restart the LMS home page shows a random single digit number next to the info indicator at bottom left of screen. Navigate to plugins and it is again asking for an application restart. Note that there is no reference to Chromecast Bridge plugin anywhere on that page... not active and not available. Have tried the application restart several times, as well as a ReadyNas server restart. The only thing that changes from restart to restart is the random single digit number at the info indicator on the home screen of LMS. Any advice available, apart from removing LMS and reinstalling? Takes forever to set everything up again!
