Same here. I've been running the LMS 7.9.1 stable release without
Just to close the subject, I can confirm I have now been running latest
version of Windows LMS on my Windows Server 2016 Essentials. Working
perfectly.
Thanks everyone for support and answers earlier.

FWIW - I've been running LMS flawlessly (currently 7.9) for over two
years on Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2. As mentioned in this thread,
you use the regular Windows installer. I don't see any reason why LMS
would not work just as well on 2016.
One tip: I had originally put my playlists in a
You're right RG. I was saying to use the regular Windows installer, not
the WHSv1 .msi installer.

installer. No other
To clarify my question, I am looking at the solution to use it on
Windows Server 2016 Essentials, did someone test the Standard Windows

Server).
Thanks,
Gilles
If you're talking WHSv1, you must use the regular Windows version of LMS

fine, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't work on server essentials
too.
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 7.9 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets and
Did anyone installed LMS on Windows Server Essentials? Any know issues
or tricks?
I have been running LMS on my old Home Server for many years, but now
need to update the server piece...
Thanks
