The new BETA version works fine with all the LMS scanning issues I cited ..BUT I still have a major issue with ONE of my 2 Squeezebox Classics Both are the same model, have the same Firmware etc etc They both can connect up to the LMS server can browse to Artists / albums / tracks But only OPE will actually play a track...the other simply says 'NOW PLAYING...' but the clock does not move, the track does not stream... I have tried swapping the devices over to see if the network connection is an issue, but the good one works wherever and the other NOT at all I tried a Factory Reset on th faulty one...not joy Anybody got a clue? I would suggest to keep information about the issue to the webui. Leave
the apps for the moment. First see f the webui is responsive and
functional.
If you have Photo Station, make sure it is not indexing and creating
thumbnails! If this is a new Nas it probably is, and depending on the
amount of photo's will be busy for days. This will cost you a lot of CPU
and will affect overall performance, including LMS.
How large is you music library? I can give you an estimation of who long
the scanning process normally would be.

HmmmJust using the Album Artists Browser on the DSM LMS app to look down my music and it only seems to allow me to scroll down half way through the "A"s then it stops and the screen then bounces if I try to scroll further down! That a normal cpu load during scanning, most of it would be Perl
process. Slimserver is normally a few %.
What other processes are running. Do you have photo station installed?
Are photo's scanned?

This server ( I think you mean the DS216se) is not that powerfull and
could cause some problems when running multiple tasks. Check the server
cpu load first. If the server is high on cpu that might be the problem.
See which service is causing the high cpu load.
There is a newer version of LMS available in the Package Center, but its
in the beta channel. I would recommend to install this 7.9 version. It
might not solve your problem but it is faster than the 'old' 7.7.6
version.

1. Manual Play: On Ethernet Network set up, it gets an IP address via DHCP fine and finds the Server fine, and appears to set up fine Then I access the Music Library and all the Artists/Albums are there to select from but when I got to play one ...it goes thru to Now Playing...but the track simply does not start to play? I am currently clearing down the library and re-scanning it in case that has somehow corrupted 2. NAS SYNOLOGY Set up Seems to be set up fine (although the browser does take and age to load) But using SqueezePad app or the official Logitech Squeezebox app on my iPad Pro...neither can seem to find the Player! Any clues on either?
