However, if you want to change them in Seamonkey only, you can create a
userChrome.css file in your Chrome folder in your profile folder path (I
don't know where it is on Win98) and add there something like:

* {font-size: 10pt !important;}

I am satisfied with

- userContent.css -
* {
  font-size: 11pt !important;
  font-family: arial !important;
}

Also, you should seriously upgrade to the latest SeaMonkey v1.x version
(1.1.18 as I type this) for security fixes. :)

 Have a look here:https://addons.mozilla.org/de/seamonkey/addons/versions/1865
 For Seamonkey 1.1.x you need to take AdBlockPlus 1.0.2

 If you want to use ABP1.1.1 you can test Seamonkey 2.0
 Beta1http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.0b1/
 It's very stable for a beta-version and won't touch your SM1 if you
 install it to a separate directory. Your profile will be copied/migrated
 to another directory as well on the first start.

 It may be just the same with DownThemAll.

 This is due to heavy changes in the AddOn-System.

  Also, I can't find where to check what add ons are installed unless I'm
  missing something. Thanks for any help.

 The build-in AddOn-Manager only exists in SM2.
 For SM1 you can use something like the Extension Manager:http://mozmonkey.com/

Any ideas?

So on what lines are the offending codes and if in a style sheet, what

There's no specific offending rules. It is that heavy usage of
floats may trigger all kind of edge cases not clearly understood by
content authors nor been specified precisely and implemented
consistently across browsers before. The rules I've given ensure
the content is displayed as intended without adding any harm to
other browsers, so the site maintainers could directly include them
in their style sheets (without the @-moz-document rule).

 How do I set/change the font size (and the [default] encoding)
 for the fonts which are used to display the accounts and folders,
 and also in the panel that displays the mail message or news
 articles Subject: lines ?
 All of a sudden the printing, i.e. the font sizes in these
 panels has shrunk and become almost impossible to read, But I
 certainly don't want to change my screen to a lower resolution.
 i.e. I badly need to increase the font sizes!
 Also for news, in some newsgroups e.g. ukr.politics, the article
 Subject: lines, are not encoded as ISO-8859-1 and don't have
 the magic cookies to switch in the proper translations.
 So I'm wondering how to set the default translation for displaying
 these Subject: lines to some other encoding, e.g. windows-1251,
 or KOI8-U (or actually to be able to switch these on the fly,
 would be even better).

If you just want to change the font size used in the tree view
pane, you can use this (in your userChrome.css file as others
have stated):

treechildren {
font-size: 10pt !important;
}

SELECT USER

this site I frequently visit underwent a massive changeover, their
entire site was overhauled, so i was expecting some problems.
one that I thinks relates to my mozilla browser, both version 17 and 18
- is my current problem

after I sign in to the site, which doesn't seem to want to remember my
login info, and visit some of their info I get a message from Mozilla
asking for - SELECT USER - Select a Username to be entered onto this
form (no qoutes)

underneath this message all I see is(no qoutes). This site
never asked for a user name before, once you signed on that was it.
my initial sign on info allows me to utilize their site, look at their
various pages of info etc, no problem moving around, but at various
times the User Name message pops up

I then tried FF 3.5.2 to access their site, I signed on, asked that FF
to remember the sign on info (which it did not), I then did the same
type of browsing, and NO User Name question came up

why is Mozilla asking for this User Name ? (while FF doesn't)

NoOp's answer was good, but I would add that a computer cannot tell
anyone something it doesn't know. If you don't want it giving out your
wife's SSN, DON'T TELL IT her SSN!! Same goes for banking data and other

Stan, I forget what was suggested in your other thread, but the only
thing that I might suggest would be to close SeaMonkey, go make yourself
a cup of Tea/Coffee or pour yourself a beer (as the shoe fits), then
come back to your computer, give the three finger salute (Ctrl-Alt-Del)
and see if SeaMonkey is still listed as running. If so, end task on it,
and then try starting SeaMonkey the normal way.

It should be noted that if you have SeaMonkey in the Quick-Start section
down in the bottom left of your screen, then SM should be listed in your
running processes, as a stub of the program is kept running from
start-up, but with todays fast computer, the time saving is minimal.

I'm guessing you're really talking about SeaMonkey version 1.1.17 18,
as I don't think Mozilla Suite got to that level.

Some sites have their log-in windows coded in such a way that does not
allow the info to be saved, but if your site works with Firefox (which
was, officially, Mozilla Firefox. Might just be Firefox now!), then it
should with SeaMonkey, except that some sites are coded to work with the
Firefox Browser but not with SeaMonkey.

There is a work around available, where you add something like but not
Firefox (without the quotes) and it fouls the sites that are sniffing,
but I cannot find the line in my about:config screen, so cannot tell
you exactly what it is.

I'm sure someone will be by shortly with the correct procedure.
