Yes but hidden too deeply.

In your opinion. In mine, it's exactly where it best fits, same as before SM
got it's name, when it was Mozilla Suite, same as before Mozilla Suite
existed, in its predecessor, Netscape 4.

In case you didn't notice, SM by default doesn't even have a home button on
the main navbar. For many people, "home" isn't even relevant, much less
important enough to have a button on the main navbar. Technically, Google is
my "home" page, but since it's my default search engine, and since my search
box is on the top toolbar, I don't need any home "page". The search box
provides what I would otherwise use a home page for.

OTOH, SM actually has two "home" buttons by default, one on the bookmarks
toolbar, and the other the throbber, the latter of which must be configured
via browser.throbber.url in about:config if you don't like its default. Mine
is set to google.com/shopping.

Drag the tab (or favicon) to the home button.

You are the best ! Effectively this is ok, but nobody(certainly me)

No, I didn't. I never said anything of the kind.

Correct .. I just dis not realize that I forget to remove this sentence:
"Paul B. Gallagher wrote on 29/05/2016 08:56:" ...
Sorry for that :-)

I just post this thing:

On the Browser pane of the Preferences window, there is a button Use
Current Page, which is enabled whenever the currently displayed Web page
does NOT have the same URI as listed in the "Clicking the Home button
..." input area.

Exact ... but not easy to imagine that this button is there.
It would be perfect to have a "Put this your Home Page" button on the
second toolbar.

It's a good idea, I'm just a stickler for being misquoted. Good luck in
promoting it.

Does it not already?

"Edit > Preferences > Browser"

Display on "Browser Startup > Home Page" click the "Use Current Page"
button.

Just a little more granularity where you can also set for New Window and
New Tab.

I think Ray's talking about an option available directly from a browser
window. For example, we already have "Go | Home" and "Bookmarks |
Bookmark This Page" on the menu.

(o) Last page visited
(o) Restore Previous Session

...

Clicking the Home button takes you to this group of pages:

https://www.google.com/

(you can enter several pages here if you like)

If you also want Google to come up whenever you open a new page or
a new tab, pull down those options at the top of the dialog
(instead of "Browser startup") and enter the URL just as you've
done here.

You will also have to indicate what is your home page. This is also
done on the Preferences pane for Browser.

In case it was unclear, the line, "Clicking the Home button takes you to
this group of pages:" was not my comment, it was part of the SM dialog.
That's where you specify your home page. If you view the dialog, you'll
see what I mean.

Yes, that's what I meant by "enter the URL just as you've done here."
The dialog is the same for "Browser startup," "New page," and "New tab."

3.select Browser category
4.click button "Use Current Page"
5.select "Home page" radio button whilst "Display on" is set to "Browser
