accuracy for any need in an intermediate formate, and done right,
it's both simple and perceptually speaking perfect. In fact so much so
that you can actually work with the format in studio and never unearth
the quantization noise-floor which lies beneath.

quite sure about that though.) In any case, if you have to optimize, I'd
say it could pay off to look into purely IIR, differentially matched
designs which forgo aggregate phase linearity.
