Hey ya'll,
I have heard from many sources that the Cummins 5.9 TD is one of the
best diesel engines ever made.
Check the site at: www.greasel.com
(lifted directly from their web site---with regards to WVO oil use)
I have a 24 valve Cummins, can I convert it?
If it is between the years of 98.5
I agree that Terry's mechanic could be more specific.
I don't know if it helps, but I've done a little research on this issue
for two other vehicles, and found that at some point Cummins went to an
electronic high-pressure injector pump that contains seals not rated for
use with 100% BD. However,

Any of which can be replaced on an as needed basis. Terry's mechanic
should be a little more specific with him, rather than issuing a
sweeping and perhaps unsupported statement.

Based on the 1993 date, I suspect it may simply be an issue of
incompatible seals and fuel lines, no?

Terry,
Ask your mechanic "Why?" he tells you that biodiesel cannot be used in
your vehicle.
I think everyone who uses biodiesel would care to hear his or her
rationale
