Thanks for looking into this. I will try it out. I would rather try to get

and learning to use either n v d a or satogo and then having to remove one
of them when I get Window-eyes. Regards: Ted Larson

Anyway, here's what you have to do.
Caps lock+Up or Down arrow to move through the list of navigation units.
For example, you can set it to lines or paragraphs. Then you have to use
Caps lock+Left or Right arrow to move by those units.

There's also a read to end hotkey: Caps lock+M.
All the commands can be viewed by hitting Caps lock+F1. I only skimmed the

Windows 10 and Miranda NG don't get along

2016-05-14 Thread Chris Skarstad via Talk

Hi folks

I just got a new pc with Windows 10, and everything seems to be going
great, accept for whatever reason, Miranda NG's message windows will not
read with Window-eyes. They do with other, shall we say free options,
but unfortunately, not with Window-eyes. I've tried the options
suggested before, which was to re-install the default settings, but that
didn't seem to do the trick. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can
get this to work? I don't mind using other options but it would really
be helpful if I could use Window-eyes.

Thanks folks!

Re: is this site safe

2016-05-14 Thread Tom Kingston via Talk
The safest sites to get drivers is always the manufacturers site or your
computer manufacturers site. These driver download pages are notorious
for adding adware, program trials, etc. It's how they pay the bills.

You can also check for updates in Windows Device manager. But those
aren't always the latest drivers. And they don't seem to know the
difference. I one time had Windows want to update my driver with an
older version.

Good luck,
Tom

2016-05-14 Thread Chris Skarstad via Talk

Hi folks

Well, I'm using Windows 10 and I can honestly say it's pretty sweet.
Yes, things have been moved around a bit, and yes, there are some new
keystrokes to get used to. But it's not as terrible as some folks will
lead you to believe. I don't think I would've upgraded when it first
came out, but now I can honestly recommend it to people on the fence.
Make the jump. You won't regret it. I bought a ne pc with it on it and
it works great.

And we should hold them accountable, most definitely.
But they have been making changes, and I have been monitoring those changes
quite closely. It's part of my job description.

RE: Outlook again

2016-05-14 Thread Rod Hutton via Talk
Hi Don,

Which version of Office are you running?
If you don't mind, and this goes for everyone on the list, it's best to
start at the beginning with your situation details.
I certainly can't remember the details of everyone's setup when I read a
particular post.

Thanks,

Rod

Subject: Outlook again

Well, my so called klunk seems to be taking a vacationand I hope he stays
for awhile

But, after opening an email, every line speaks heading and continues as I
read each line of the email

Rather annoying

So, do I have some kind of configuration or verbosity setting wrong?

By the way, When I compose an email, Ihear no heading speaking as I go back
and read the email I have. Composed, heading is spoken only when I read a
new email

Thanks

By the way if Rod reads this I am actually listed as administrater

Don
