Thanks so much for everyone’s help on this. I got the program working and can download and read books now. I can download books without using the web site. I believe the book I can’t read is a PDF file. There are possible ways to work on that later, but my first hurdle is cleared. Thanks again.

Sorry, haven't attempted to use the Kindle Book Reader for at least a couple years. But, back when I did, I also discovered that I could not read all Books, due to the way they had been put together, or Formatted. I never did learn how I could tell before I bought the book. -- Dave
