I have read this book back when Windows 10 was new it was a great help, it does
not give instructions specifically for blind users but you can get a lot of
good information.

Hi Tom,
Although it was not that easy, I took the easy way out. I uninstalled
Kurzweil and the printer. I have now reinstalled them both and they
work for scanning from Kurzweil. I have not tried scanning anything to
the computer, though. There is a patch I will need to use. I might
Hi,
The book I am reading now is Windows 10 the missing manual. It tells
alot of things. Of course, if you are already a good Windows user, you
have found a lot of these. I am only about four hours into the book and
it is almost 30 hours of reading. It does talk about a lot of things we

Tab past the individual lists and there's a checkbox for the startup
sound. I don't know if there's a shutdown sound. I don't use them and
just ran quickly through and didn't see one.

Carol,
If the Kurzweil hasn't come back you can open properties on the
executable and either try running the compatibility trouble-shooter or
tweaking it yourself.
Good luck,
Tom

subject line. I was frustrated about ITunes not downloading an album I’d
purchased. I later discovered that the purchase did notgo through. I tried it
today, andit worked.

Thanks for everyone’s help. No, I didn’t delete any PROGDATA folders. I just
deleted the McAfee folder in one of them. Many of the antivirus programs
require one to use a file from their web site to remove them completely. I

Yes, it is the book from BARD. It does mention in the book that there
is a web site where things are updated, but I have not looked at that yet.
I also found a daisy version from Bookshare, which will allow me to
read, in print, things like keystrokes and search quickly through for

Thank you, Tom. This will certainly come in handy. I have seen others
mentioning it, but I have not had too much need to explore it yet. I am
working on the basics, like what happened to my Kurzweil that was here
yesterday and still appears in my program x86 files but will not run at
all.
