Hi Steve,
I have been playing around with Word and labels with no success. One
thing I did notice is that WE would not speak when I tried to paste text
into the box. I put an address in WordPad and copied it to the
clipboard and tried to paste it into the box. It would not speeak. The

article you linked, is why they did not just fix it right away, when
they were to introduce version 58. Sounds somehow like the
As the subject says, I’ve been trying to figure out how to assign a hot key to
start JAWS since there doesn’t seem to be one by default. I have looked in the
manual but unless I just missed it there doesn’t seem to be anything. I’ve
gotten so used to WE having Control+Alt+W, so I wanted to do
This reminds me of the quote that over time apps and programs will not work

Hi Trish,
If you're in the message body, try Shift-Tabbing once and see if you land on a
button labelled "attachments."
If you do, you should be able to press Space on it and get a context menu with
options for handling them.
Best,
Rod

Hi Everyone!
My husband sent me this link. I know we have all had trouble with Firefox
since their major change, and I remember someone feeling forgotten about by
Mozilla due to being a screen reader user. Mozilla hasn't forgotten about
us. They are aware of the problems screen reader users

The problem is that I can not get WE to read the information in the to
label box. It simply does not speak and the box does not show up with

Carol,
I wonder if this is part of the old Microsoft bug that affected envelope
addressing for years. That was fixed in Word 2016, though. Would you give
exact steps to get where you are getting? I'd like to figure out if this is
a Microsoft bug.
As a work-around, you might be able to type
Hi Steve,
I treated making labels the same as I would have in Word 2007. I pasted
the address I needed to make the label for into the open word document.
I then put the person's name in the line above the address. I then
selected all and copied it to the clipboard.
Next, I pressed alt-m,
