Yep, I agree totally.  Just shows you what marketing and lining the 
right counselor's pockets can do.  Spare me the denials, I was a client 
in Nevada and also worked for them for almost a year.  Window-eyes never 
had a chance.  They did provide me with Window-eyes, but it was a real 
struggle.

I too have been getting the silence and i'm not sure what the cause is. I
think it's the internet being so busy. I got an upgrade to my tv box on
Virgin media yesterday and the difference is amazing. No hang ups at all.
Fingers crossed. It might be that firefox could be the problem as well. I
haven't tried internet explorer as it is a terrible program as well.

What browser are you using? It might be interesting to see if others on the
list are fairing out with different browsers?

It doesn't read some kinds of email correctly, specifically the ones that 
come from yahoomail.  Some lists are on yahoo.  It jumps lines.  One time 
when window eyes stopped talking and I had to have them fix it for me, 
they downloaded it from there and the problem went away.  But after that, 
I had to reformat my hard drive, and when we downloaded it from the disk 
and got the updates, it went back to its stupid reading problem.  Also, it 
will suddenly lose focus and go silent.  Otherwise, I would use it 
forever.  I'm using it right now.  Pam.

I use window eyes, too, but I have been having a problem with window eyes. 
It doesn't read some kinds of email correctly, specifically the ones that 
come from yahoomail.  Some lists are on yahoo.  It jumps lines.  One time 
when window eyes stopped talking and I had to have them fix it for me, they 
downloaded it from there and the problem went away.  But after that, I had 
to reformat my hard drive, and when we downloaded it from the disk and got 
the updates, it went back to its stupid reading problem.  Also, it will 
suddenly lose focus and go silent.  Otherwise, I would use it forever.  I'm 
using it right now.  Pam.

Hi Pam,

overpriced screen reader on the market.

Hi Pam,

I did, but I hate jaws.  Jaws acts as if we are simpletons.  I hate, for
instance, that, after you press enter on an email, after you already know

certain things off, so you have to listen to commas and periods and stuff.

the nails in the casket will just about do it for me with Windows and its
associated screen readers.  No, no Windows10 for me; no, I didn't take the
offer to migrate to Jaws even though I can use Jaws.  And, no, NVDA WILL NOT
cut it for what I have to do particularly with respect to gainful
employment.

Farewell!  Back to the sidelines I go, peeping out of my pidgin holes and
watching the goings-on!

I did insert j, and all it says is jaws home use.  if I arrow down, it says 
the version, and the only other thing it asks me is if I want to update.  If 
I tab, it says nothing.  If I arrow, it says nothing else.  So, help is

I had done that, and it still says everything.  I tried all of the stuff
that we were given when the transfer was done.  There were some setup
tutorials on how to work it and how to set it up.  How do I get to hear what
those voices sound like?  I think you have to buy them.  Pam.
