I thought I might actually have an AV free morning. But, it
was not to be. After going through my morning e-mail, I received this

These AVs are becoming so routine, that I've come to expect
them. I'm getting quite tired of constantly having a program I once
swore by becoming a program that I now swear at. I just want a stable
program that I don't have to worry about crashing every 5

I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, deleted my tbuser.def and the
results are always the same; I can use it for a while, but the AVs
soon follow.
And when they show up, can you then reproduce at will? Do they always
appear doing the same operation?

Hello Mike,
I'm running McAfee as my anti-virus and I have TB! set up as

Can you fully disable it or even uninstall it for a couple of days?

Hello Mike,
Unfortunately they're intermittent - the worst kind of bugs.
The AVs usually occur when replying to or deleting a message. I
have a hunch it could be related to reading TBBeta in digest mode,
because it seems to happen soon after that. But, I can't be sure.
Sorry,

I suppose I could, but I would hate for that to be the

Hello Mike,
Gee, you really do want to cramp my style, first no
anti-virus, then no digest mode. Crack that whip! :)
To be more effective in conclusions, if any can be derived, don't do both
things at the same time.
Both are valid suggestions and I'll probably

checking TB or any application for viruses every time is is started?
Yes, I know why they do that. Virus checking will be
