I am editing HTML Quick template, I have changed everything to Arial and when I saved this template, it was changed to Courier New. I don't gent any 'span' tags. 2.- As I said in another message, I hardly use HTML and have not played with HTML templates and QTs. Hello Richard, BR When I switched from classic windows appearance to XP mode on the BR desktop, then the buttons being on and off is much clearer in the BR message composition window's on the bottom tool bar. When depressed, BR an option button turns a red-orange color and is easy to see. Same here after changing theme to XP. Now to adapt that theme to the colors/background I want. And, I shouldn't have to do that to get the icons to work. The icons (buttons) do work in classic windows appearance. Although I must admit the different states are a little more difficult to differentiate, specially depending on the colours used. But the buttons 'work'. Re: Icons
Hi MAU, First, why don't you send me (us) a screenshot of your main toolbar so I (we) can see the icons size your are talking about? That is attached. For instance, the 2nd, the 4th and the fifth icon witch that green point on it look to me equal. I'd like them twice as big as they are now. And that too for the icons of the message viewer and the edotir. Second, do you have a 'batskin.xml' file in your 'Program files/The Bat!' directory? If so, could you also send it? No, I haven't. I do have 131 icon gif files C:\Program Files\The Bat!, they all have Images_Default_...gifin their names. -- Regards, Gunivortus Using The Bat Vs. 4.1.1.7 RC1 (BETA) under Vista Ultimate 32 bitattachment: icons.jpg Current beta is 4.1.1.8 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Forward - redirect changes message
Hi Tbbeta, When forwarding a HTML message with pictures, the message is changed to just text, all though in the account properties - forward - format the option HTML (Rich Text) is checked. The original html-message is put in an attachment as 1.eml. When I redirect the same message, it is also changed to text-only and now, the original message is attached as: Message.html Why is this? The forwarded or redirected message should keep its original format. -- Regards, Gunivortus Using The Bat Vs. 4.1.1.7 RC1 (BETA) under Vista Ultimate 32 bit Current beta is 4.1.1.8 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

TB creates TMP files in working directory when sending Mass Mailing messages

Re: Icons
Hello Gunivortus, First, why don't you send me (us) a screenshot of your main toolbar so I (we) can see the icons size your are talking about? That is attached. Totally unusable. Too small (reduced) so I could never see real sizes and too compressed and, therefore, totally blurred. Are your toolbar icons the same size as mine in attached PNG? I do have 131 icon gif files C:\Program Files\The Bat!, they all have Images_Default_...gifin their names. Uh! I don't recall ever seeing similar gif files in my TB installation directory. Any idea where from or when you got them? One further question. Is this small icons problem you are having something that has appeared with the use of one of recent betas? Or has it been that way 'always'? Because if it is not a beta issue then I think we should move to TBUDL and continue this thread there. -- Best regards, Miguel A. It sounds like this is a TB! glitch. Has this only happened with latest version? I first noticed it in the past couple of months, to the best of my recollection. I am not sure, and didn't pay too much attention at first, thinking it might have been an AV issue. I don't notice it with any other mail program I have used/tried, including others for IMAP testing/comparison only (with TB!). And it happens with and without AV working. Sorry I cannot think of any other causes, now, than TB, since it happens with no other mail program. It happens, and users find that several email clients render their HTML newsletters correctly but TB! doesn't. And it's not new to TB! anyway, Ritlabs has been working on HTML rendering for many years. Never mind the technical problems, users just expect that *all* of their newsletters are shown correctly, as this is what they get from competing products. JF The equal discussion is already been declared a dead horse, because the JF benefits of the Bat are not to display HTML, this is new and has to be JF developed. OK, let's skip the general discussion and concentrate on developing the HTML rendering engine to a perfect module within TB!. It doesn't help to say it doesn't work correctly, but never mind. You have to keep the competition in mind, and even if TB! has more functions and features than other clients, people want to read the newsletters they have subcribed to on purpose. One of my staff uses TB! and Outlook in parallel - there are many things (for example HTML) that Outlook simply does better and he doesn't want to miss it. Hi MAU, That is attached. Totally unusable. I've put two others in a better resolution here: http://www.gunivortus.net/mau-1.jpg http://www.gunivortus.net/mau-2.jpg Are your toolbar icons the same size as mine in attached PNG? Can't say that really. the comparision of the text and the icons differs from mine. I do have 131 icon gif files C:\Program Files\The Bat!, they all have Images_Default_...gifin their names. Uh! I don't recall ever seeing similar gif files in my TB installation directory. Any idea where from or when you got them? They seem to be all smileys and were put there at 27.08.2008 together with an MSI file of TB. In the Images_default.msl, which belong to those GIFs are Ritlabs people named, 9val and Valerye Bostan. One further question. Is this small icons problem you are having something that has appeared with the use of one of recent betas? It is not related to a recent beta, but I would prefer it, to become this a developers item; several of my programs have the simple option to change the iconsize, f.i. my favourite file-handling program 'Total Commander' has the option to set the icons at 16x16 or 32x32. It would be great, if Ritlabs could implement such an option to resize all icons. -- Regards, Gunivortus Using The Bat Vs. 4.1.1.7 RC1 (BETA) under Vista Ultimate 32 bit Current beta is 4.1.1.8 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
