Hello Christian, Sunday, June 7, 2009, 4:29:33 AM, you wrote: > Congrats on not listening to your BETA List and bringing out another > bugged version. > And once again a totally useless version for those using IMAP. Ouch! What is bugged in this version? And, What is it exactly that is required in IMAP? I keep hearing, reading and observing endless "complaints". If its a complaint, so be it. If its a real IMAP bug, report in bug track. IMAP works and it is functional. It may not be what you want, yet, it does work. If it's not working for you, maybe there is another client you should try for consideration. I grow weary of the "blind shots" that are not well documented simply listed here in the forum. Your message, "... totally useless version for using IMAP" is in accurate because it does work. Put the concern in the bug track or give a link to the specific existing bug track item. Otherwise, enough of the generalizations and blind shots! I for one, just want to get on with testing and applying the product. There are a wide variety of excellent readers out there that do a great job. I work in an environment where people want one software program that can do both. Replies not threading (WAS: Re: Found it)
Hello , >Your last 3 replies will not thread. That is, they do not include an >In-Reply-To or References header. Have you used TB for these replies? Miguel: I use the TB for my replies. However, the digest has been blacklisted given the use of images and html files. Example: Content-Type: IMAGE/PNG; name="B_English.png" Content-transfer-encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="B_English.png" So, at this time I have to cut and past a new message to participate in the conversation. Personally, I would prefer if html messages, encoding file attachments could be dropped. However, this is the best I can do at this time. Re: The Bat! 4.0.0.17 (ALPHA)
February 2, 2008 > New editor is one of main "new features" in v4.0, isn't it? It is a new feature. Yet, in this alpha is appears to really be a stumbling block. Not drag the issue out, I'm asking for a rough time line when we will see a real version with a working spell checker. It's difficult to test with no spell checker, works with one editor not another editor etc. Jerry -- Ethan J. Mings Oakville, Ontario Canada Write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Running: The Bat! February 2, 2008 > it is not finished yet, please wait yet, as I expect, it will be announced. Mike, I appreciate that the editor is not finished and the spell checking will be coming soon. However, I much rather have a alpha or beta with known features. At this time, I cannot tell when it's me, my set up or simply the function is missing. Furthermore, it's really confusing when some on the list state the feature is working and others say it is not. I've rolled back to the version indicated in the footer. However, I would suggest some real focus go into getting the editor and spell checker solved now. With that solved, we can focus on the "new features" in version 4.0. I fear the missing spell checker is really taking the focus away from the task at hand. Jerry -- Ethan J. Mings Oakville, Ontario Canada Write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Running: The Bat! Hello Marek, Saturday, February 2, 2008, 7:06:16 AM, you wrote: > For example Microed editor is still developed, same with spellcheckers, > statusbars are not ready yet and so on. I think it would be much more helpful if we could have a fully functioning spell check for testing purposes. Currently, I have files in the directory which I don't know if they are needed, work, etc. At this point, the last alpha release did not state the spell checker was going to work. Personally, a proper spell checker is simply a Must Have. Can we get a time line on this.
