Re: Antispam Bayes Filter Plugin 2.0.2 (Open Source)

KA the plugin is not loaded and I have to add it again!

I can confirm this problem:

I did a clean install of bayes filter plugin 2.0.2 in a custom
directory and it doesn't reload after a restart of TB! (also tried
installing to the default-directoy, no effect), nor does it show up in
TBPlugin.ini.

Bayesit however loads perfectly.

I even have deleted the tbplugin.ini file, bayesit continues to load
after a restart of TB!.

It can't be a permission-problem on the TBPlugin.ini-file since it is
on a fat32-partition (it's also not read-only).

Further, I did some testing with the 'mygaterunner'-plugin and it too
loads fine without the 'TBPlugin.ini' -file (or with an empty one).

IMHO the 'TBPlugin.ini' file isn't used anymore, but I don't know what
does account for the loading of plugins.

Anybody got an idea?

the addressbooks containing certificates are out of date.

Solution: get the latest one...

How I've done this:
* backup everything except root intermediate addressbooks
* uninstall while keeping mail
* delete 'rootca.abd' and 'intermca.abd'
* reinstall
* restore

Haven't found a simpler way to do this yet, so I'll save you the

You shouldn't move the messages to the inbox of the other account, but
redirect them to that account.
You can bypass the fact that you can't fetch mail with that account by
enabling 'local delivery' (you can find that setting in 'options -
network administration'

One drawback: both the time of creation receiving will be altered in
the receiving account.

If you don't wont this to happen, you can still move the messages with
a filter refilter manually...

The Bat! - bug report - cosmetical one

2000-12-03 Thread Roel

Hello The Bat! developers,

  I'm using The Bat! Version 1.48 Beta/3
  Serial Number 1A9F4614
under Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 1
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

cosmetical bug: the text doesn't auto-scroll to the correct
 position

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

 - create a subject line longer than the window-width
 example:
 snip 1 line
over koetjes, kalfjes, grote koeien, stieren, prikkeldraad rond
die beestjes hun wei die moet voorkomen dat ze in de gracht
vallen ne lastige boer omdat die altijd die stomme oude koeien
 uit de gracht moet halen...
 end snip
 - put the cursor in the beginning using 'home'
 - use 'end' to go to end
 - use 'shift-home' to select everything
 - press 'end'

= the cursor isn't visible: the subject doesn't move
however, when you start typing, the cursor becomes visible
again the subject shifts back to a position where the
  cursor is visible...

Regards,
  Roel

The Bat! - bug report // group-handle list doesn't work correctly anymore in beta/9

2000-03-30 Thread Roel

Hello The Bat! developers,

  I'm using The Bat! Version 1.42 Beta/9
  Serial Number UNREG / CD5BF9353B3B7091
  under Windows 98 4.10 Build A
and would like to report a bug

  The bug description:

when i send out a message to any group (addresses have always worked
with 141 and have not been altered since), i get a failure notice
for *everyone in that group!

addresses sent to: (via grouphandle list)
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]

errors returned:
Û÷RÁ@hercules.telenet-ops.be 'no valid adress...'

  Steps to reproduce the bug:

send a message using the group-handle...

if you send a message inserting each address seperate, it'll work
fine... my guess: the list isn't translated correctly anymore...

can anyone confirm?

Regards,
  Roel

you mean 'Content-type: MULTIPART/ALTERNATIVE;' ?
if you enable 'show rfc-822 headers' you can see it :-)

anyway: i noticed this:
every message with any attachment prior to march 16 (the day i went
142/beta) shows the attachment instantly, after that date, the following
types won't show immediately:

Content-Type: text/html;
Content-Type: multipart/mixed;
= when only html-version or 'message.att' attached, works fine
for attached gifs etc (real files)...

i think it has something to do with the index-files: they are converted
correct (files prior to 16/03), but new messages don't seem to set the
'attachment-flag' in the index-files...

Stefan, can you enlighten us?

Hello tracer,

Roel well, if there's enough information available I'll have a look at it
Roel :-)

t Thats the part which worries me, considering how much pulling it takes
t to get a help file..

I think plugins don't need that kind of pulling since you actually
_use_ plugins... a help-file is good for reading it once every year...

t if the specs for plugins are fixed, the sooner we know them the
t better. Presumably they have to be written in Delphi, will that work
t with v5??

It's completely up to the programmers how they will hook to the
plugins...
* if they just hook onto dll's: anybody can write these in almost any
  language they'll work...
* if they hook on script-style plug's, it's completely up to the
  interpreter they'll put in...
etc...

Hello Thomas,

TF I have given up archiving - too many mails I in practice never read
TF again. I have set up automatic deletion after 90/75/60/30/15 days,
TF depending on the folder (TBBETA is on 30 days, because no beta seems
TF to be alive longer). So, how about people who automatically delete
TF emails in order to save disk space - as opposed to people who never
TF delete them, because they receive only about 100 per year.

maybe you can add:
"you don't archive mails cause your hd's choke on the volume?"
which should be 9 points in my view :-)
