That is correct, Natasha. And, if I recall correctly, you also had no idea that you were testing a new feature that was going to change the content of your messages. According to Max, the purpose of that MSI was to fix existing issues in 3.5.xx - which, it seems, did not include the loss of content in messages that you discovered in 3.51. Also, please read what Max said again. He was giving us an MSI that was intended to fix one last problem in 3.5.xx before putting this release up for download. With an introduction like that - and with the BayesIt problem still unresolved - who would imagine that we would be embarking on an entirely new series of beta (pardon, me, alpha) testing of a very risky nature? Certainly I did not expect that, and I was genuinely shocked to discover it. So I have a fundamental concern here. I believe that the July 6 announcement of 3.51 on this forum (see below) was entirely misleading. Based on? See above. Are you sure you are cut out for testing software? The question is (and someone may have recently addressed this), why is such a potentially useful function as a QT picklist buried so far down in the main menu? Further, why couldn't the Ctrl + Shft + Q (create/edit/delete quick template) function also include an Insert button? This picklist menu, which features a scroll bar, is far superior to the one available under Utilities, and making one list do the work of two (at least in this instance) is a more eloquent solution. The ability to quickly insert bits and pieces of oft-used text is a very powerful tool. Please make it easier to get to. In toytal agreement with moving it to the top of a menu, and I also think that Insert then Insert Quick Template and the totally different function, but similarly named Insert Quick Template should be addressed. -- Best regards, Chrismailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 3.5.25 Windows 2000 5 Current beta is 3.5.25 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Thos folders where it doesn't change may be because at some time you did include/change the templates manually. If you want those folders to use the account defaults, just delete the folder templates. Next time you take a look at the folder templates they should show the account default ones. One thing I do to make sure if a folder is using the account defaults, or not, is to include the following line as the last line of my account templates: %COMMENT=This is Account default%COMMENT= It doesn't do anything when you use this template to write a message because it first sets Comment to a text string but the it clears it. So, if I see this line in a folder template I know it is the default one. Obviously, when I do manually set or change a folder template, I delete this list. Excellent! You have to copy the messages to the new folder (they keep the flag) and delete the originals afterwards. I think I see logic in how Ritlabs did this, but it's a Royal PITA when moving large blocks of messages between accounts! Re: Using TAB key to rotate focus
Friday, May 6, 2005, 11:07:45 AM, you wrote: I think that it's done this for some time. Points to note: If you are using the HTML viewer in the preview window, once the focus has moved to that window, TAB moves the focus to each hyperlink and only move to the next window once all the links have been visited. If the focus is in the message window and you delete the only message in the folder the focus seems to disappear until you use the mouse to magic it back. It seems to focus on the lowest (physically on the page) hyperlink here, ignoring higher ones. -- Best regards, Chris Wilson The Bat 3.5 Return RC4 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build Number 2195 Service Pack 4 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/3 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Double clicking a mesage in the message pane still launches a blank screen
Still doing this in RC1. Once in the blank screen using the Move to Next or Previous Unread menu works and the message is shown full screen. As i work 99% of the time in the split screen mode it rarely bothers me, but surely a total PITA for many users? -- Best regards, Chris Wilson The Bat 3.5 Return RC1 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build Number 2195 Service Pack 4 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Generic view mode gives no problems, but the one I usually use gives No message loaded error with blank screen. Will citing the offending view mode help? I can click where I want, but no blank screen opens. Three pane window, folders, messages and the bottom full width one is where I normally read the contents of the message (pre view pane). Double clicking the message SHOULD open it in a full viewing window, but with certain view modes it opens the pane, but with the message No Message Loaded shown. With No View Mode set as the view mode for a folder it works fine, at least 2 other view modes and the message is not displayed with a double click. Basically one view mode that causes the problem is show: Created, From, Subject, Attachments and Parking all ticked and Sort by Created in Ascending Order, with Expand All Threads ticked too. I am sure it's View Mode specific. -- Best regards, Chris Wilson The Bat 3.5 Return RC1 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build Number 2195 Service Pack 4 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Don't see any 9 sence to get a lot of AVs reports which are known for us But you still release an RC version that is still crawling alive with bugs that are also known to you? Forgive my ignorance but shouldn't a release candidate be devoid of virtually all known bugs before you release it? As much as I love TB I just can't understand the reasoning or rational of RITLABS in sending out new versions that are still full of known bugs, especially one that they consider ready for public release. I personally don't think this series is anywhere remotely close to being releasable, the list of known bugs is still a long as a Donky's Doo Dah. In total agreement Tony. I am in the race engineering business, a company has rushed into releasing an expensive new race car over here with a new engine and transmission. They are suffering immediate problems with engine and transmission and their credibility has suffered serious harm, IMO. I really don't think 3.5 is anywhere near what a paying end user should be expected to have as release version yet. -- Best regards, Chris Wilson The Bat 3.5 Return RC1 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build Number 2195 Service Pack 4 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Can be time PO consuming. Not all night! I've closed Windows down when gong to bed, came back in the morning and it's still not closed down... Unless I close TB first that is. It seems to be getting better, TB now closes, goes through all the clean up process but it still won't allow Windows to close unless TB is closed separately. I had this, a full maintenance operation on all folders found 2 with errors, after this it behaved itself properly again. -- Best regards, Chris Wilson The Bat 3.5 Return RC1 on Windows 2000 5.0 Build Number 2195 Service Pack 4 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
