No, if after having explained at least 10 times what I am doing, I still get
treated like an idiot, it is really time to call a halt and stop wasting time

Maybe in this mailing list, but then this is a tiny exception. No other of
the dozen or more I am subscribed to is text only. Unfortunately configuring
text-only for this mailing list in TheBat! doesn't work. It is tedious to do
this on a message by message basis, and I beg the participants pardon if I
should forget that once in a while.

Besides, this outmoded refusal of HTML formatted messages here might be

It appears that you are slowly leaving courtesy lands and mentally return to the wild times of elementary school.

You seem to be employing something "nobody else does" and complaining you make manual errors at that, request what no one else whats and what, in fact, has earlier been abolished, confuse non-present features with bugs and refuse advice. Then you say your last words and attempt to cut the discussion.
Good luck with that. But better without.

If I may have one wish, it's a good practice in mailing lists not to send in HTML messages. You seem to be the second here who sends them in. Would you consider using another TheBat! feature and set a correspinding mail format for the TheBat! list folder?

the Subject?

Include the List-Id header in the list of headers as I have told you

The Bat! will present that header, or any other, if it is included in the

No, no, the proper one is "Header field = List-ID contains
tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com".

The List-ID according to RFC 2919 https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2919.txt is the
proper way to filter mailing lists (as long as the mailing list is properly set
up).

That works, it is just an error of The Bat! not to offer this filtering
criterion in the user interface, forcing the user to type in "List-ID" for each
and every mailing list filter.

I'm new to this mailing list, so please bear with me that I have never had
the honor to meet you before.

But, a FROM free form name of only a given name, and a one word Subject line
are quite sure signs for a spam message, this resembles too much those from a

no, there were two replies to it.

And that's probably what made me think that this may be not spam despite all
the spam-like appearances.

I, on the other hand, have limited space on my screen and I don't need the subject to take space for the list name, as the mail is already in the list folder. So I know to which list it belongs, and I prefer to have space for the actual subject rather than redundant information.

My first thought on seeing this Subject "ping" from three senders unbeknownst

This could be avoided if the Ritlabs people would please add the configuration

I had mail from Maxim yesterday or the day before, he was looking for
logs. Something is still perking. I sent him my logs.

E> Thanks

no cause for desperation at this time of the year.

folks need a holiday in the sun or elsewhere once in awhile.

To paraphrase the old Pete Seeger song: there's a season (a little time window)
even for a rest, recreation and holidays ...

TURN, TURN, TURN

To everything turn, turn, turn
There is a season turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose
Under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything turn, turn, turn
There is a season turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose
Under heaven

A time to buid up
A time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything turn, turn, turn
There is a season turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose
Under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything turn, turn, turn
There is a season turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose
Under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rain, a time of sow
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace
I swear it's not too late

MK The irritating DING! seems to be new since beta9. Beta8 didn't do it, I think.
MK My sound notification comes from a filter though, not from account settings.

my cat unfortunately did chew through the sound-cable a couple of days ago so
I definately do not hear any DING at all! :-)))
