Thank you.

I did install V10 Beta 6.

It failed on the mapi and did not work well.

In a nutshell, the installer is not doing its job to create the right set up in
the registry. It appears Windows must see the program exe and not the launcher
exe.

I look forward to seeing Beta 7 with the items fixed.

Thanks,

Jerry

One consistent problem I find is the Tblauncher.exe file.

I am running Windows 11, 64 bit.

The current beta keeps putting this file in the program director and putting
thebat.exe some where deep in the c: user \appdata\ local \ thebat! ...

My other programs do not put their *.exe file so deep into appdata.

Is there a reason why TheBat has shifted to this new practice?

Hello,

I need to kill TB from task manager.

Hello,

I uninstalled previous beta and unpinned from taskbar, beta 6 installed in
non-default folder and the TB icon is missing:

"Windows can't find the file
%SystemRoot%\Installer\{0CA53753-F935-4F8A-A3E0-2B95CFDB0361}\TheBatIcon."

The newly created start-menu shortcut is invalid, as is the newly-pinned
taskbar entry. I can manually start TB by clicking TBLauncher64.exe in the
customs folder. But pinning this again creates invalid shortcut.

I personally adored previous TB for the possibility to install it in folder of
my choice. What was the need to move it to appdata\local?

I followed the instructions on a test machine in my office.

1. Mapi does not work. mailto is set to tblauncher. Every time I use a mail
to option, it opens Outlook.
2. I had to dig down into a sub folder of \AppData\ to find the exe to make the
program work.

There is some wrong in the install program app. Installing a beta has never
been this difficult or challenge.

Trying to fix the registry also does not work.
> If I change the "Default" registry key at
> "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\The Bat! mailto\shell\open\command"

Over all, I got this version installed. The proposed fixes to Mailto and mapi
do not work at all.

I look forward to a more stable beta.

Thank you.

Am I going to lose all my files and records.  For example will my filters be

For all who's will do his own buttons: TB still can reset buttons and interface
