Under your editor preferences (options > editor preferences)
make sure autowrap, auto-format, and justify on wrap are
checked-- then, your paragraphs will wrap nicely, much like
mine do. (This hard-wrapping is one of my favorite TB!
  features.)

A> If I type

A> Sentence one

A> Sentence two

A> Highlighting all paragraphs and then doing an alt+j gives me :
A> Sentence one.Sentence two.Sentence three

If you wish to manually justify them, you need to either
highlight and justify each separately, or place your cusor on one
at a time and alt-j on each. But, I specified above how to
autoformat. Of course, you can uncheck auto-format -- then, it
will automatically wrap initially --but not re-wrap if you make
corrections. (this gives you a little more flexibility if you
want to get creative with your letter formatting) -- in which
case, the manually wrapping is handy.

A> On long messages highlighting each one seperately takes an age.

Must be some long message! :-)

Any help?

I just checked, I have the British English dictionary. Maybe it has to

Can anybody confirm?

The first part was taken (by the Regexp macro pair %SETPATTREGEXP
and %REGEXPBLINDMATCH) from the Date field of the original message's
header, which is always in English. There's nothing we can do about
it. You may use %ODate instead, as Andreas originally did (see the
starting post of this thread), but then you'll run into problem of
wrong dates as reported by Andreas.

Sorry, but I don't get your question. Which statement is obviously
wrong? You mean the original regexp macros? I think the problem has
been solved (see Allie's instruction). What other problem is there?

You have to justify each paragraph separately but you don't have to
actually highlight them. When you're finished typing, simply hit alt+j and
it will justify the paragraph that the cursor is in.

Note, however, that if you're positioning the cursor in another paragraph
to justify it, do so with the keyboard. If you're repositioning with the
mouse, move the caret with the keyboard by hitting say, one of the arrow
keys once, before hitting alt+j.

Password Bug?

2001-04-08 Thread Dr.Rik

Hello,
I have used the Bat for apx. a year now.For me its is the best
e-mail managing system that I have found. After a system crash
and reboot the program upon start up is asking for a password.

This I find strange. The only way I could get into my mail folders is
to take original mail folder out, then program creates a new mail
folder. Then I placed old mail folder inside the new one.
This created a sub-directory and I changed default folders in each
account? So I am back to normal. Can I disable this bug,So it doesn't
happen again?

AFAIK TB! formats by paragraphs but you don't have to do this

It won't work because you don't use %ODate in your regexp, do
you? Your regexp takes just the whole information from the "Date:
..." line from the headers and puts it into your message. If you
want the date to be in German, try something like

%WRAPPED='am %ODate schrieb %OFromName:'

This will produce the correct output. But if you use a regexp to
get the date and timezone from the headers, how should that be
translated into German?

Justifying text

2001-04-08 Thread Adam

Hello Bat,

Is there a way to justify the text of seperate paragraphs, other than
highlighting each paragraph seperately and doing an alt+j?

If I type

Sentence one

Sentence two

Sentence three

Highlighting all three paragraphs and then doing an alt+j gives me :

Sentence one.Sentence two.Sentence three

On long messages highlighting each one seperately takes an age.

Also the Help file says that TB contains American English and British
English dictionaries, but when I go to Spell Checker -> Language, all
that I have listed is American English, how do I activate Britsh
English?
