Yes. AVG supply it with their software.

Dunno, What's "span"? And why would you be against it? Ah! Spam! Not
sure - I use the a server side one and not a TB one, other than
ye-olde "Sherlock" method. Anyone else got any recommendations?

Done. Hey - why didn't anyone tell me they'd got messed up that bad

Back to TB

2008-02-29 Thread David Elliott
Hello All,

Just come back to TB after missing it for almost a year.

I use to be a beta tester and will be signing back on.

This is what I am after.

1) A GNUPG or PGP that will also do a secure disk. I use to use CKTPGP
(I think that us what is what it was called)

2) I use AVG so it would be nice to use this anti virus plug in. Is
there still one about ?

3) Anti Span. OK what is out there.

And to Marck

Hi.
Please get your pages at http://cgi.silverstones.com/library.php
sorted out.

double check the settings with some of us on the list - a lot easier
than reinstalling and that might not fix it.

You mentioned Gmail sending ... are you set to (under mail transport)
smtp.gmail.com, secure to dedicated port (TLS) and that port is 465?

2008-02-29 Thread Teresa Eckford
I've narrowed it down to something specific to my computer settings. I can send
mail using the webmail site for my ISP. And now ALL the email software on my
computer is having problems sending, though Thunderbird seems able to deal with
my gmail account with no problem.

I'm thinking somehow some settings have been changed somewhere, though I've
done nothing. Am considering uninstalling and reinstalling The Bat! as I really
prefer it to any other email software I've used. And hope that a reinstall
helps.

Bayes Problem

2008-02-29 Thread Munango-Keewati
Suddenly the Bayes spam filter that's been working almost perfectly
for a year or more is dumping virtually all incoming messages into
the Junk folder. This could be because I recently upgraded to
v4.0.14, or because I changed some setting while exploring the new
version.

Anyway, can anyone suggest what might be wrong and how to fix it? I
have two accounts that I check regularly, two Junk folders (I had
tried the common Junk folder setting, but now have that turned off). A
dozen or more filters running on each account. Current behavior seems
to ignore the filters, or cut in before they can work. However, if I
refilter the Junk folders, the filters run properly and everything
goes where it belongs.

Thanks in advance.

I'll keep that in mind. It wasn't the case here, though, these were working
folders, that just disappeared.

The folders that kept "coming back" had funny names; the fist instance was
called ;2FS and the next was ;3B 2FS.
Third was ;3B 3B 2FS and now you can see the pattern for the
following "recovered folders".

Thanks.
Yes, folders are still there. And I immediately did a back-up...

I will look at the link you sent, maybe I'll learn something.

Hi Stuart,

(Hope this reply gets through, I've been trying to reply to my other
topic 'turning off delete below sig delimter' but none of my replies
ever reach this list)

There was something wrong there. The option was not checked, but I did
try again to change the column widths. I ok'd the change, exited from
The Bat and went back in - and wondered why all my columns had
changed. Went back into view mode options to find that The Bat had
deleted my custom columns setup entirely! So, I had to recreate it,
and when I did, I was able to change the column width finally and have
The Bat accept it.
