we are not developers, we can not guarantee that new version in 4.x serie
will be released. Such code is included directly in thebat.exe, there is no
way how to extract anything.

if You have not problem with 4.2.40, You can downgrade to this version
until new 4.x or 5.x version will be released.

Marck,

So why did some Beta code, which is know to cause rendering of image
failures, get released in a non-Beta update (i.e. v4.2.42)?

And which files from the previous version (v4.2.40) can we extract from the
download and over write the bug ridden file with? Or failing that, when
will a new (minor) release happen to correct this rendering problem?

I did try re-installing the previous release, but it didn't seem to work.

The problem is also in the browser (SlimBrowser using Internet
Explorer) so the problem seems to be in creating the web page itself.

Yes - it's a parallel release with the new 5 series betas.

I think they updated a graphics library and use that for both

Thanks Marck. Kind of a disturbing revelation that a bug or regression in the
4.x version has made it forward into the 5.x branch.

Broken Image Rendering

2011-01-17 Thread Sam Brown
I am using TB! 4.2.42 and have noticed in this version (but I'm not sure if
only this version) that the rendering of some images seems to be broken. I took
the following screenshot to demonstrate:

http://www.morepeggers.com/img/TB_image_rendering.jpg

Sometimes the image shows, but then scrolling corrupts the image. Sometimes the
images never fully resolves and just come in as black boxes and then gets worse
when I scroll. Sometimes they come in just fine, but develop the horizontal
lines when I scroll (like on the first yellow button or the second "Deal 2
preview" image).

I don't really expect there's a fix until another release comes around, but I
wanted to at least confirm I'm not the only one to see this.

Thanks,
-Sam
