I receive and send e-mails for/from using the MX in question I have a similar setup. The different domains have different uses, so I've sorted them into different folders already. I then set the Identity of the folder (under the folder's Properties), which lets me customize both the name and the from address. You could also look at using a reply macro to check %OTOADDR and use that to set %FROM. A warning: the identity settings are used to compose messages whenever that folder is selected. The is usually the right thing to do. However, I have mistakenly sent a message as postmaster@ because I forget to change folders first and pressed Ctrl-N. (The From drop-down still works; I just didn't notice in time.) This is why I tend to use address book templates over folder templates whenever I can: they get applied based on who I'm mailing, not where their message ended up. -- Christopher Warrington Current version is 9.1.18 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I have done this in a couple of cases: configure an additional "account" within The Bat! using the same sending credentials as the main "account" at that domain. As far as the SMTP server is concerned it's the same account. No incoming server details needed as this "account" will not collect mail from the server. -- Best regards MFPA <mailto:2017-r3sgs86x8e-lists-gro...@riseup.net> Gypsy Dwarf Escapes Prison: Small Medium at large Using The Bat! When you redirect a message, the From address is still the original sender. You may find your outgoing mail server doesn't accept redirected messages. If the From address is changed to your address, you are forwarding the message instead of redirecting it. -- Best regards MFPA <mailto:2017-r3sgs86x8e-lists-gro...@riseup.net> Take my advice - I don't use it anyway. Change "From" field under a single account
Hello, How can I change "From" field under a single account? Picture this: 1. Several domains are pointing to a single MX/MTA 2. I receive and send e-mails for/from using the MX in question Currently, when in need to send an e-mail from postmaster@, I have to change "From" field in the "Edit Mail Message" window manually for every single message. Is there a way to add most used addresses so they show in the drop-down list? And what about "Redirect" function? Its window has no option to edit "From" at all. -- Cheers, A Current version is 9.1.18 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
