Hi Victor, I really should se this to automatic on exit because all your mails pass through your inbox even if they are move to an other folder they will leave a copy in the inbox file. On the positive side I do not think this is the cause of your problem. I had this happen to me with on beta version. It just started doing this. I would only occur if you minimized the connection center. I switched back to the regular version and the problem never re-appeared. -- Best regards, Gerard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The quality of a golferĀ“s practice is more important than the quantity, particularly for better golfers. Just my tuppence here: I don't compress on exit, because it took a long time (on my old 400MHz machine) with my amount of accounts and folders to be purged and compressed. I prefer to do it when I choose to (almost every day, now saving 10-25MB each time), not when I am in a hurry to shut down my computer and leave. But then, I'm a control-freak and don't like to automate too much. ;-) -- Cheers, Thomas. Moderator der deutschen The Bat! Beginner Liste. Have you set your inbox folder to be compressed on exit? Do you keep all your messages in your inbox folder? How many messages are there? I'd first try compressing your inbox folders and see how that goes. In reply to Victor's message 'The greatest most annoying problem halts my PC' on Sat, 7 Dec 2002 00:31:36 -0500 from [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Victor, VBG Does anyone have an idea? I would be greatly appreciative to any VBG idea or solution that doesn't hinder it's performance. The only thing I could think of - admittedly not really like what you describe, but the only thing that comes to mind - is the animated bat icon in the taskbar when you have un-read mail. It has, at times, had bad habits of causing Explorer to use 90% of the processor, the solution was to disable the animated icon (first page of Options - Preferences). I'm not sure TB! still has this abnormality, as I disabled the animation, and prefer it that way. But its worth trying... I'm sure its something simple. :) -- dan. e [EMAIL PROTECTED] w http://www.danhirning.com Current version is 1.61 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
