Re: [Texascavers] Can Locklear please restrain himself !!
Thought I would reply to the Sleeze's post which I generally find some of the best written stuff in my email box. I wish he would put together a collective works of the Sleezeweasel and publish it somewhere. I would buy a couple of copies. However, I did want to point out something related to deleting the replies to the replies from previous posts. Considering that I get a ton of emails every day from a huge assortment of folks and receive the Texas Caves as individual posts and not the daily digest, I actually appreciate having the original email thread at the bottom of the post as it allows me to place the responder's comments in context - sort of like a complete reference. I don't know how many emails I get from folks that have deleted the original post they are replying to and you can't make any sense of the post without reading the entire thread. By that time, I've usually deleted the original post so don't have a clue what they are talking about or can't find it. So, some of us like the snot at the bottom of the article (included below on purpose). Respectfully submitted. Hi Charles! Many thanks for posting the rules. I am sure I must have read them in the way back when I first joined. Having not read these rules in many years, I made the wrong assumption that topics posted here must be cave(r)-related. Like you, I take advantage of the warning David provides to "delete now" if I am not interested. Again, thank you for re-posting the link to the 4 simple rules to follow while a member of this listserv. And, many thanks for remaining our thoughtful moderator. I very much appreciate the time you put into making this listserv function. Oh, I don't know, Frank. I think there is a greater need being served by allowing such posts to occur without rancor. Some find them interesting and amusing, and it's always easy to punch the delete key. If it's so inconvenient to clean out your inbox of uninvited martial that is disagreeable, you may need to examine some of your own demons. Jerry.
