You haven't stated whether you're using the new version 5 of TiddlyWiki, or the classic version 2. I use YouTube embed links by wrapping html tags and it works when tiddlywiki is on a server but it doesn't when the wiki file is local. In the case of version 5, YouTube embedding is working
