[tw] Re: Preso 2 - a default TiddlySpace application
Thanks for all the interest! Very great, I'll put time in when I can to work on your requests. 1) TiddlySpace Applications such as preso2 rely on twikifier to produce an HTML representation of tiddlers. This currently doesn't have the ability to deal with macros, though I gather this functionality is planned. As is such, no macros will currently work in preso2, until changes to twikifier are made. 2) Again, functionality such as twikifier should be handling this at a lower level below preso2. Can you file this as an issue at https://github.com/Hugheth/preso2/ explaining what you (presumably) found so I can comment further? Cheers. 3) Open the currently open tiddlers (maybe from a permalink?) Please can you expand I don't think I quite understand? Do you mean open them in TiddlyWiki? Or from tiddlyWiki to Preso2? A permalink functionality is planned, so you can snapshot your view and post the URL to others. 4) Great suggestion. Though the localization techniques will differ from TiddlyWiki's, something similar for Preso 2 is definitely needed. 5) Planned. 6) Strongly planned :D 7) Planned. Original Preso navigated Main Menu with arrow keys. Though I think this is cool, the ability to have custom playlists would also be mighty handy. 8) Planned. These will most likely come in the form PresoCSS and PresoJavascript in the same way the HTML serialization currently uses HtmlCSS and HtmlJavascript for modifications. Hi Hugh I can't quite figure how this fits with the idea of a ZUI. Tiddlers each have a predefined location and replacing a tiddler with another one seems to defeat this? The list of tiddlers in a presentation is all the tiddlers in your space, which is typically going to be very large, so would take some time to navigate through. I thought it was the MyMap tiddler which defined which tiddlers were to be part of a presentation - not all tiddlers? It seems to work like that at the moment... When I add parameters to each tiddlertitle in the MyMap list - I'm doing it blindfolded - I won't know what the outcome is untill I see the result - and I can't do anything about it untill I revert back to the wiki-mode representation... Just some thoughts on templating a slideshow: What I suggest is some kind of template to apply to listed titles in MyMap (list by tag or any kind of handcrafted or autogenerated list) - the template should be preconfigured to assure that no tiddler is conflicting with any other tiddler (on x/y axis) and you might even have a randomize zoomlevel function wich delivers a pleasant and varied flow of tiddler representations... I think maybe this points to a current lack of a control panel that extends the ways that you can navigate and interact with Preso 2, which is planned. [tw] Re: Preso 2 - a default TiddlySpace application
I think maybe this points to a current lack of a control panel that extends the ways that you can navigate and interact with Preso 2, which is planned. Take a look at my Moveable Quickstart document: http://www.TiddlyTools.com/quickstart/moveable.html In particular, you may be interested in the Panel Manager Popup Menu (ALT-click on the background). It provides many ways to navigate, including menus to auto-scroll to any displayed tiddler, compass navigators for quickly moving tiddlers around as well as scrolling the page (you can also drag the page background to scroll), and an *interactive* map that gives you a bird's-eye view of the entire document at a glance. The panel map interface also lets you directly move/size individual tiddlers. Adjustments to the interactive map display (moving/sizing the tiddlers) are simultaneously reflected on the page. In addition, when you move/size a tiddler the document's lower-right extents are automatically adjusted to fit the tiddler and the document display 'hot-scrolls' as you drag the tiddler around. All tiddler positions are tracked automatically in a map tiddler (which records x,y,w,h AND also z-index and 'fixed position' settings). You can define, manage and select from multiple maps, so that the arrangement of tiddlers can be quickly changed to fit the task at hand. You can also *dock* any item, which returns it to it's default TiddlyWiki position (as defined by the PageTemplate). If you dock all, the entire document is displayed using the standard TiddlyWiki layout (i.e, tiddlers in the story column, main menu on left, sidebar on right, header at the top, etc). enjoy, -e Eric Shulman TiddlyTools / ELS Design Studios -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group.
