[time-nuts] PPS sync from NTP

2008-10-10 Thread Steve Rooke
I was thinking about what has been recently discussed about the possibility of measuring frequency via time-stamping samples referenced to NTP and crunching the numbers. On a different vein, it would be possible to make a PC output PPS from the internal clock synchronised to NTP. OK, all the

[time-nuts] Sulzer Labs D-5 oscillator

2008-10-10 Thread Reeves Paul
Hi all, I need a bit of help getting an old Sulzer D-5 5MHz oscillator to work. It was built into a rack module with monitoring facilities and had been slightly 'got-at' by the previous owner. Some of the connections were pencilled on the case but not enough to give confidence about powering it

Hi Mike, I ordered the shell, that was easy enough to find once I had a good part number. I wasn't sure on the coax connector so I bought one of each. I have a roll of some skinny coax which I believe is RG174, but wasn't positive. Instead of driving into work to check, I opted to just buy the

Hi.   Does anyone know if the Symmetricom SA.31m is pin compatible with standard OXCOs used in com gear and test instruments?   I would make sense that it was, but then again...   Also, does anyone know off hand the price of new SA.31m's in small quantities?   Thanks!   Jeff Jeffrey K. Okamitsu,

The reason I asked is that AFIK Austron acquired the Sulzer line and therefore we can probably go down an Austron route regarding any documentation. Rob Kimberley Paul, Send me a photo as well please. I have a Sulzer 1150 5MHz oscillator and am curious if it looks the same. BillWB6BNQ

Ulrich, I have been wanting to try your EZGPIB to control and capture data from various instruments I run in my lab. My GPIB bus typically has 3-6 instruments connected and I currently use the NI GPIB-ENET/100 as a LAN bridge to any one of several windows based computers. Ocassionally, I also

Looking more closely at the software list, I don't see the utility that I use. Whatever it is, it's a DOS based thing or is at least a shell ap with just text. I'll dig up the zip file at work when I'm in the office over the weekend and get it over to you if I still have it. I've used it
