jars in common/endorsed if JDK 1.5 is used. I see that the jars don't get

Are you using modeler 1.1? You need to have the latest modeler change for
the fix - org.apache.commons.modeler.BaseModelMBean 1.25. The fix went in
after 1.1 release. How about that for sneaky ;-) All should be good if
you have the latest BaseModelMBean. :-)

exposed MBeans serializable if we want to support remote access to

ContainerBase.start(). Also, the mbeans are not getting deregi
