How are you connect to your router? I have been experiencing the same problem when my touch was running wireless, but I then tried it using Ethernet and boom the device came up on the 'Workgroup' domain. I was able to access the folders on my USB drive, however, once I reverted to wireless again

The Receiver does not listen to IR. You can control it through/sync it to the Touch, though. Or control it from your mobile phone, web browser, etc. In order to set up the Receiver without a Controller, you will have to use the 'net::udap' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57861)

I tried turning off encryption. My WEP network screen only allows 2 types of encryption: 64-bit (with a 10 digit password) and 128-bit (with a 26 digit password). Turning off encryption doesn't seem to be an option. Or it is quite possible I don't understand you suggestion. If you could be

This may be totally different, but my Touch lost my network for some reason while tinkering with settings in my router. No matter what I tried it wouldn't find it again until I reset the touch. If you haven't tried it yet maybe a reset or even a factory reset might help? -- 808htfan I want
