Page 13 of your user manual ( http://homedownloads.cisco.com/downloads/WRT160N_ug,0.pdf ) says that the default encryption is "disabled". You may have to do a factory reset on the router to get back to the default. See page 25 of the manual for how to "reset to factory defaults".
