Unfortunately this could be an OSX or hardware issue which means you can
expect a lot more debugging. For strange issues - the common way to
shortcut the debugging process is to re-install OSX but it is not
guaranteed and for some users the effort to reinstall and setup the PC
is too much so they
My squeezebox is still randomly stopping. Logitech support has done
nothing to help me and it has been almost 3 weeks now. I tried wiring
the squeezebox with an ethernet cable, and the problem persists, so it
is not my network.
I had it run for 3 or 4 days last week with no problem. Then this
Are there any interesting messages in the log (see WebUI

Yes. I have sent these to Logitech (about 2 weeks ago):

I finally got some assistance from Logitech support. The support
analyst said something about my music files being .m4a files was part
of the problem. He had me go into the advance settings screen and
change 4 or 5 of the settings.
So far, so good. Four hours of music without stopping.
Well, I got my hopes up.
The darn thing played for 6 or 7 hours before it stopped this time. I
selected an album and played it. Then kept adding albums to the end of
the list. Then I changed my mind and selected a totally different album
to play. It stopped before the first song had

I don't know any OSX specific but on Linux and Windows the following
command works - try it in a Terminal window.
*netstat -s*
The counter are always incrementing so you need to take two or more
readings and compare them to see what counters change.

Wow. I tried the command and it spit out about a hundred lines of
numbers. I have no idea what in the world I am supposed to look for in
there. I think you are getting way over my head.
Thanks for helping, but I just don't understand...

Just look at the section headed by Tcp: - play some music and see how
the counter changes between a few songs.
After googling users who had the Repeated transitions for interface
en0 - usually also have other error messages in the OSX log. Do you
have any other messages in OSX log ?
Also user
I have no idea how to access the OSX log.
Still having trouble understanding all of this. I guess my computer
knowledge is pretty much how to open the programs I need and use the
basic functions. I was pretty proud that I could actually find the
terminal function.
What exactly would I post on

Oops. Made a mistake in the previous post. The counter/timer doesn't
go up forever. It loops through about 4 or 5 seconds of a song when
the music stops. Repeating over and over. But the music doesn't
repeat - it just stops.
Called logitech support and they said it was a known problem that
I thought I was done. Started enjoying the new squeezebox after loading
loads of music into iTunes. I figured out how to play several albums in
a row. Sit back to listen for a few hours...
About 40 minutes into the music, the squeezebox stops playing. No
error messages or anything, just no
