Some CD ripper software automatically creates .pls files or cue files.
This has caught me by surprise a few times in the past. I had files
Will do as soon as I get back home. I don't generally have, form nor
keep playlists so hopefully this won't be a contributing factor.

Thank you, Ronnie. I will try that this weekend when I return home. I
am anxious to straighten out this mess. I abhor wandering over to the
CD pile and trying to find something specific. I have several hundred

Many thanks. I am out of town for a week, but will follow up once I
get home with the info requested. I really love this thing and want to
get it back in shape.
Thanks again.

LMS couldn't be simpler so I doubt it is the source of your problems.
Install the latest release version: 7.9.1. Open LMS Control Panel and
confirm it is set to index only the folder(s) where your music library
is located. Make sure there are no shortcuts to other folders in the
target folders.

My old PC shat the bed, so I bought a new one expressly for music as I
had over a TB of music stored on my old machine and external drive.
Now, I have multiple failures.
1. Dupes. I have 2-3-4 and sometimes more copies of a whole mess of
my library. Some are due to tracks being contained
