similar to bash. I'm assuming this was in error as you were actually
referring to the Dash in Unity desktop which is no longer featured in
any currently supported release of Ubuntu.

you were using an "End of Line" Ubuntu release and to ensure that the
report was assigned to the correct project/package/Ubuntu release so
that others who have a much better knowledge and experience of such
issues could look at
I had already applied the temporary fix as per comment #39 but I
upgraded to version 0.96.24.32.13 in -proposed anyway. Attempting to
check/uncheck any of the options on the 'Other Software' tab displayed a
prompt to enter the 'admin' password. So I can also verify the issue
will be fixed with
