Same problem with raspbian stretch and avahi.
I used dhcp binding of my router to fix the address 192.168.2.4 to Mac
address b8:27:eb:3f:11:5f.
Few hours later, after the syslog gives the "Withdrawing address record
for 192.168.2.4" the machine gets another ip-adres, 192.168.2.23 from
the dhcp

I've attached a boot recording - all went smoothly this time. I trimmed
it down to just the boot log itself. It may look like I cut off the
start of the log, but I didn't. I have the complete file, though, if

2) I cannot take the graphics card out of the laptop, but I uninstalled
the nouveau package xserver-xorg-video-nouveau. This may have improved

I have ran the tool a few times because it seemed to be crashing - at
first it wouldn't run at all complaining about missing PyQT, so I
installed python-qt-binding; then it seemed to be crashing due to
missing pathlib, so I installed that as well and ran it again.
