I have to disagree a bit about the the duplicates here. This very old
bug was when Firefox was using GTK2, and back then the scroll bars in
Firefox were GTK2-standard and didn't use the overlay scrollbars (up and
down buttons).
All the newer bugs have GTK3 Firefox, and that the scroll bar in Firef

Apparently, it came from the package `connman`, an Intel utility to
manage wlan and bluetooth that I installed wrongly since it's intended

video resolution to something else and then back to what it was. That

I think we're waiting for version 5.50 or later (for bug 1759628). And
even if that was available today we'd still not introduce it till 18.10.
I'd like to keep bluez and pulseaudio in a maturing state, which means
they haven't changed in a long time when 18.04 is released.

PulseAudio is selecting the USB device for output because that's correct
behaviour for USB speakers. And PulseAudio thinks the mic is a speaker
because that's what ALSA seems to be telling it.
The real problem here is that the Linux kernel seems to be reporting the
mic is an output device. Much li

I just upgraded one of my LXC containers to 18.04 and after rebooting,
the /etc/resolv.conf contains no nameservers. systemd-resolve, however,
resolves fine and the --status returns the DNS server details as
expected.

(And pulling the power cord on my laptop doesn't reboot or even shutdown
the computer, so I don't think it's a good comparison. Holding the power
button down for ten seconds is a better comparison, but it's still not a
good one because reboot acts immediately, not after you confirm it by
typing it
Doesn't the shutdown icon warn you if there are other users logged in
who might lose work? So shouldn't the reboot command do the same thing
if you are not root?

I think we need to handle this via removal of the resolvconf package on
upgrade. Removal (not purge) seems to be sufficient.
Dimitri, is there any remaining reason for systemd to not conflict: with
resolvconf?

times I find the following cruft on my system. This shouldn't happen.
