I run Squeezebox Server on my laptop, which has a full size keyboard.
I currently have only 256 kbs (yes that's all DSL is able to do in my
area
currently)

I have a Laptop and Desktop running the Squeezebox Server Software. Is
there any function to keep the favorite radio stations 'In Sync'
between computers? I have added different stations on each computer and
I would prefer not to have to add it twice.

OK, thanks for the replies. I did notice on the SBS on the Top right on
the Screen There is a drop down box for 'Chose Player'. At the bottom
of this box there is the word 'Synchronize' grayed out. I was hoping
this might do what I was asking. If not, can someone tell me what
n you tell me why running it on the desktop is
preferable to running it on the laptop. They both seemed to work
equally well to me???

ually troubleshooting the problem.
I have pretty much given up on them. I am going to re-install Windows
XP and the first application I install will be the SBS server software.
It will probably work. I will then start installing my apps one at a
time until or if the SBS fails.

What is the speed of your internet?
I have this problem if I listen to radio stations that stream at over
256 kbps. - It does not happen with stations that stream at less than
100kbps.
My Solution - I am going to bit the bullet and get a faster internet
connection.

Most of internet radio seems to be MP3 File Format. That can't be good
right? It doesn't seem to matter what kbps that they stream at if the
File Format is MP3 and is compressed as hell.
Does anyone know of any good Jazz Stations in the country that stream a
lossless program?

And As far as I know you have to be logged into mysqueezebox.com to
search by the internet radio by Call Numbers. Please enlighten me if

Fat, Yes, your are correct MOST FM is crappy, however there are a few
FM stations that play uncompressed music. A lot of them are on College
Campuses and Play Jazz. The FM station that I listen to locally will
easily

I would not be surprised, in fact sometimes they do and they announce
it. Lots of times its Vinyl, but mostly CDs.

Properly Function that is.
My Wireless signal strength is 75% on one Touch and %85 on another.
They both perform flawlessly. I was wondering what the minimum wireless
strength that a touch would Perform OK.

Not a simple answer I see. I can play any type of music or internet
radio from 32 kbps to 256 kbps with no problems.
I just was not sure what the Wireless Signal Strength had to do with

r this 'Grundge'. I was thinking that an internet stream
should be mostly free from static and grundge, but I hear it on a lot
of stations. Some of it is worse than any tuner I have ever heard.
Anyone else notice this and can explain what this n

backround'.
I do get a 'Black' Backround on the Minneapolis 88.5 station, but this
is the exception. Most of the other stations have a lot of grunge.

I deleted my post with the answer from Logictech Support, because their
suggestion that the Computer that is running SBS should be on the same
access point as the touch, did not work either.

Yes, the laptop is connected wireless as well as the touch. The laptop
is definitely connected to the WRG614 as I have changed the SSID to
"Access-Point" and can see it connected.
I'll do the factory reset tomorrow -- I am guessing it won't change a

. My laptop only sees 1 network and functions perfectly. All of
the focus in this thread has been on the router and hardly any on the
SBT. To me, after having spent 30+ years in the software industry the
SBT is the suspect here.

Laptop, My wife's Laptop. I can switch back and forth from
the DHCP router and the AP , and it assigns Ip Addresses correctly.
I prefer to have separate SSID's and connect them manually. My touch
will stay connected to the Network I choose,
a dedicated access point
yesterday.
However there is something else going on as well. My 2 laptops can
successfully connect to this access point with no problems and get
assigned the correct IP Address. So there is a difference in IP address
assigning between the Touch and a Regular Laptop.
