*excited*
So, are the new Iso's RC, Final ?
I see there is the Trisquel-mini amongst others...
Could someone let me know which Desktop Environment the Mini now uses ?
Thanks !!
Hm, when I try and visit
http://mullvad.net/en/help/linux-openvpn-installation/
it also get's blocked, however, it get's blocked by my ISP (we have
"KidsSafe" enabled,
due to friends etc who visit and bring their kids along).
Might not be a Trisquel problem at all !
Hi All !
Brilliant news about the 9.0 iso's, thanks to everyone involved.
Just spotted new Iso's from 17 and 18/01/2020...
One is called Triskel, the other Trisquel ?
Are these 'beta' already ?
I tried the iso from december, but the graphical install failed, however, had
no problems running it
Not sure if this helps:
"When a hostname is given as a target, it is resolved via the Domain Name
System (DNS) to determine the IP address to scan. If the name resolves to
more than one IP address, only the first one will be scanned. To make Nmap
scan all the resolved addresses instead of
Firefox has removed NPAPI plugin support, and therefore Java Plugin cannot be
enabled in Firefox browser version 52 and above.
And as Abrowser is based on Firefox it won't work either !!
"locate" is a command and "ovpn_udp" an option, so
there should be a space between both:
locate ovpn_udp
(NOT locateovpn_udp).
Sadly, it's something easy to miss in tutorials, as spaces are often
overlooked, so
try again with the space between them :)
You're welcome !
I think DNScrypt only protects against dns spoofing, so it's a method of
knowing that your dns request really comes from the dns resolver you've
chosen, rather
than being tampered with.
I'm not sure it protects against dns leaks, but I'm not very knowledgable on
the
I use this: https://dns.watch/
it's based in Germany, so depending on where you are there may be some
latency, but
it is a free and uncensored dns resolver.
You just change the connection settings in Trisquel to use that as a DNS
Provider, and
that's problem solved !
Go to the
From here: https://nmap.org/book/port-scanning-ipv6.html

be configured for IPv6. If your ISP (like most of them) does not allocate
IPv6 addresses to you, free tunnel brokers are widely available and work fine

Hm, I have the lxde iso running.
Just used wicd's gui network settings.
From the Menu button, I chose 'Preferences', then changed the
driver it should use from wxget to nl801, works for me.
Also under dns changed to 'dhcp client' instead of 'automatic'.
@jxself
so, if I installed the 4.19 linux-libre kernel into Debian 10 it should work
?
Thanks !
Thanks jxself !
very kind of you to explain, and most weird from Debian I must say ...
Ok, away it goes, I'll try and see how to use the new firmware-ath9k-htc.
Hi All !
I'm confused !
Decided to invest in a wifi usb dongle that has the Atheros AR9271 chipset,
thinking
if it's "libre" it should work with any distro...
Decided to have a look at the newly released Debian 10, only to realise that
Debian
list the atheros-firmware (in this case ath9k)
nmap has a proper scripting engine (NSE).
Have a look at a long list of some examples at:
https://nmap.org/nsedoc/
in ABrowser:
1. Type "about:config" (without quotes) into the Firefox address bar and
press Enter
2. Search for “u2f”
3. Double-click on security.webauth.u2f to enable U2F (or right-click and
select Toggle)
There is also an official PPA:
Best way would be have a "portable" app on the usb stick itself, although
I am not entirely sure if libre ones exist ( not sure, but something like
7zip or
peazip, both which encrypt files as well and are available as portable app,
but I
do not think they are fully libre... might be wrong
