Did I miss your point Owen?
Why did you choose to use version 8 of Trisquel instead of version 7?
You should not have any problem when using version 7.

buggy from the USB - gedit closed without warning and without saving!
That is very bad!
I am using gedit because I thought the culprit was "Abrowser", but apparently
the malfunction is my computer's use of Trisquel from the USB...
Downloading the beta, now, and will have more to say avter I've had a look at
it. Glad you've decided to return to Mate de; accessibility in Cinnamon is
not ready.
Greetings everyone,
I want to offer a helpful request to the Trisquel developers (and all GNU
distro developers), but not sure where to post it.
My end-user experience has me wishing for this to be implemented:
Please have Installation scripts run on the display screen for the end user

Hi to everyone.
As I have read in this link https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver,
that there are in Ubuntu the drivers for the ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics
card, I would like to know if Trisquel 7 has the drivers for the ATI Radeon
HD 4670 graphics card. Thank you very much since
Saravia:
1.- Congratulations... I am proud of you..
2.- You can take a look at Musix or Ubuntu Studio most of the software, if
not all, that is installed there is also in the Trisquel repos so you can
install it with apt-get.
However, I suggest going with parabola for most up to date
If I remember correctly there is a terminal in the installer where you can
see everything that is happening.
Though, it goes no fast you might not even be able to read it.
If you really want thin kind of behavior you might as well go with parabola
to really learn. Trisquel is not meant for
Hi Heather, come on in!
Don't just poke your head in, you are always welcome to comment and share
freely :)
Using the screwdriver now-a-days, means the task becomes a major project form
me physically.
So while not "impossible" it is unlikely for me to remove and insert devices.
LOL, ha-ha
coming soon im make some recording, but i don't be a engineer only i have
made songs on my home for some 7 years and now i don't made more. I have not
done more because I used proprietary software in the past. is it a one thing
more for make libre-music.
thanks
This is what I achieved with proprietary software without being an engineer

You can not have any 3d-2d or any graphics acceleration without non-free
software if you use any ATI/AMD card. Modern AMD GPUs have free drivers, but
still need non-free firmware loaded in the kernel for graphics acceleration.
Without that non-free firmware you only get video output.
It's always helpful to know these things when giving advice to someone
new when things get stressful.
Magic Banana is, of course, absolutely correct about doing the job right
so that you don't have to rerun Grub.
Being able to boot from external hard drives is such a nice perk, I just
wanted to
there are no 100% FOSS drivers for radeon graphics cards, according to this
wikipedia article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_and_open-source_graphics_device_driver#ATI.2FAMD
AFAIK trisquel project is about including only 100% FOSS software so I guess
radeon drivers are not going to be
is Trisquel 8 going to explicitly support appImages?
for the sake of clarity I am talking about this:
http://appimage.org/
Trisquel 7 does support it (I tested it) but I could not find any talks about
appImages on these forums so I am not sure that Trisquel developers know
about appImage

I'm watching tutorial videos to learn how to install, then I will again
launch install with the "something else" option to properly partition my
devices.
I didn't comprehend how to do this from Magic Banana's comments so the
tutorials are helping me
Hello.
I do not know what Ctrl+click does in NetBeans. Another user seems to imply
that it finds the definition of the identifier clicked (function name, etc.).
There are several ways to do this in GNU Emacs.
The traditional way is using the etags program to generate a data-base of the
Congratulations, hayder and alimiracle!
Ignucius the Saint blesses your computers, long may they run!
I would agree, Although it is expensive, it would serve one good purpose,
setting it up as a server.
Also a desktop if your a developer or some other purpose. not sure what the
other purpose would be, but meh...
I won't be getting it now due to prices, but maybe when I need a server I
This someone, as a new comer to GNU needs stress-calming dialogue, so thank
you.
That Grub program has begun to act like a real bug, preventing all OS access.
I waiting for final release.
Most of that video is about having Windows' bootloader (rather than GRUB)
start by default and propose an entry to start GRUB, which allows to boot
GNU/Linux... and Windows. I see little point in doing that: just install the
boot loader (GRUB) in the MBR (the default). It will start right
Interesting. What about Nvidia?
AWESOME comment!
Thanks Magic Banana, I'm still attempting how to complete the procedure you
outlined here so the video was helpful for me actually "SEEING" this in
action.
With your assistance I am convinced I will have Trisquel running my server.
hi
we nede your opinion
Do you want guix package system installed by default in uruk gnu/linux 2.0??
in this time we use installer to install it
have fun and be free
ali miracle
I'm running the beta on my little netbook; it looks nearly finished. Not
sure whether I can install onto my Thinkpad that has uefi; Trisquel won't
boot on the thing. Interested in learning more about this guix package
system the include in addition to the apt defaults.
Ronmamita, your perseverance is impressive and highly commendable. Keep on
exploring the arcane ways of freedom, they are unfathomable.
I would trust the installer's default. It probably is right. I do not have
any experience on having / on a drive which is not /dev/sda...
