You want to put that in your startup scripts. There might be a graphical way

Have you tried clicking the right top corner of your touchpad?
It's in your home folder, if you happen to have one. Do you have the mlocate

I too like locate (when the file I'm looking for isn't brand spanking new).
Unlike other tools like find(1), locate uses a previously created database to
perform the search, allowing queries to execute much faster. This database is
updated periodically from cron.
May I suggest the mlocate

I guess you could do that with configuring the powernap package that watches

It's a web server configuration issue. Look at the response, the content-type

One potential problem with that setup is different distros use different
versions of packages. They might have difficulties reading the config files
from each others.
Probably not a big problem but something to keep in mind in case of trouble.
I guess the root problem here is the packages themselves. I don't think there
really is a problem though. Some packages are intuitive to use, e.g.
graphical in nature and insert a menu item when installed. The others one
just has to figure out how to use.
Most packages come with manual

It's not a great idea to run servers you don't need. (Eats resources and

Welcome to Trisquel!
Funny, security vulnerabilities don't go away regardless if you bury your
head in the sand...
Fortunately alternatives exist.
I mean the proprietary firmware mentioned on the fsf common distros page.
I should have been more careful, only 99% of what they sell is free software.
The remaining 1% does spoil the broth. (How come this sounds so familiar?)
Thanks to Broadcom for not playing ball you're going to have to acquire
another wifi adapter.
Here are a few excellent options
https://www.fsf.org/resources/hw/endorsement/respects-your-freedom
Basically not having anything you don't use is a security measure. And a
compiler gives a pretty uniquely useful tool for an attacker.
Have you read the manual page?man cvt
Looks like the name of your display is default, you probably should use
that instead of VGA1. I'm not very familiar with this stuff either but keep

Well, Red Hat is one giant example, a billion dollar free software company.
However you can also download their product for free under the name CentOS.
(Redhat does alot of business I understand with the us gov. And looks like
Red Hat started sponsoring CentOS in 2014.)

Maybe your puter claims it can't do higher reso. Try running the 2 commands
in the first post of the thread.
If that should allow you to select the new reso, you can try the cvt command
to create the actual line for whatever reso you're after.
You don't. It's generally sound advice but this is an exception.

No. The radeon driver is free but it used to require a non-free binary blob
