has worked steadily, Barr has spent most of her time smoking weed on her

I finally watched the first episode. I liked it, but not enough that I
watched the second. There were some good jokes. Surprisingly, or maybe not,
the weak link in the cast is Roseanne Barr.. Okay, I don't expect her to
keep up with John Goodman or Laurie Metcalf. But she wasn't keeping up with
Sara Gilbert or some of the kids.
I mainly watched to see how they handled Sarah Chalke. It was probably
smart casting the original Becky to play the role again, because quite
frankly she looks worse for the wear. Chalke still has the Hollywood
actress glow.
It could be a situation where ratings erode so that by the last episode
they have an ordinary number of viewers. But even with a 25 percent drop in
the demo they are the 800-pound gorilla of Tuesday night and are showing up
in the weekly tally.

believe, streaming on Netflix and Amazon.

The success of Roseanne on ABC offers some hope that broadcast networks
will see value in airing sitcoms built around stand up acts (just hopefully

I would be happy if the entire entertainment industry (film, TV, and music)
took one entire year off from reboots, franchises, and covers. Give the
public one year of new ideas, new talent, and let the chips fall where they
may.

"One Mississippi."  (Just to name the first two recent examples that

It is a 25% drop in the demo, which is what matters. But regardless, the
show is a hit, which is good news for those who want to keep seeing sitcoms
on network TV.

There is Twitter talk of bringing back The Office (mistake). I would be
happier though if we again saw successful hit comics being given chances to
turn their acts intoTV shows.
