it is a desktop client and still requires that the key be embedded in
the application in some fashion.

This is a known error with pbwiki TOC code, and not the fault of the
twitter api wiki maintainers.
My apologies on the previous answer. There is no direct way to show
info about a tweet id in html format, but you are correct in your REST
url format.

before. We don't have anything included in our results that give you a
total number of results. Rather, you have to 'walk off the end of the
result' to know when you are at the end. This is a current limitation.

The limit is high enough that you should be able to update plenty. Twitter
drops tweets that are the same as the last tweet so if you update "foo" and
the "foo" again only the first one will be posted.

The basic flow for a desktop app is:
1: app gets token from twitter behind the scenes.
2: sends user to twitter in browser with part of request token in
querystring.
3: user approves access on twitter.
4: user comes back to app and clicks on a continue button.
5: app behind the scene trades reques
The geo data is known to be questionable. Mostly because of guessing. Search
the group archive for more info.

but they won't get emails and will only see it if they read their replies.
You can use the followers method to pulling everybody that is will get DMs
