Seconded. If you're still having trouble - make sure UD is licensed. I think it shows up in the smm.log if it's not. UniAdmin or confprod will show if it is or not. If it is licensed; have you installed new software recently? 5.1.27 is rather old so I'm assuming you've had it running for a while.
