Unfortunately when we (the U2UG board) first tried to get the IBM knowledge base opened for our members, IBM were tied by the desire of certain vars who do not want their end users to get access - something for which I have NO sympathy whatsoever. Frankly any var offering services should do so from a position of investing in their knowledge not denying it to others.
But it is the case that the vars - not IBM - are the ones who have put this block in place. If your var is reasonable, you should be able to ask them to furnish you with access. There is an agreed route for doing so. If not, that's exactly why we are building our own knowledge base.
